A band\'s success is often measured by both memorable songwriting and artistic credibility - and Kamilla has a firm stranglehold on both. During the summer of 2001, five musicians in Grand Rapids, Michigan coalesced into a single creative unit, crafting an intelligent and aggressive sound that courts the ears of mainstream listeners while keeping one foot firmly in the underground. Thanks to a dynamic combination of beefy, metallic grooves and a solid melodic foundation, Kamilla quickly racked up a list of impressive achievements, including:- Beating out 150 entries and 16 semi-finalists to take first place at WKLQ-FM\'s battle of the bands, the Heavyweight Championship of West Michigan, in February, 2002 at local music club The Intersection.- Conquering another prestigious local competition, Aris Hampers\' Hometown Rock Search, in December, 2002, performing in front of more than 1,000 people at The Orbit Room. - Being chosen by Anheuser Busch and EMI in 2003 as the best band in West Michigan, and earning sponsorship via Budweiser\'s \"True Music Live\" ad campaign. The partnership led to Kamilla\'s garnering a coveted opening slot for Korn in December, 2003.Such accomplishments prove that Kamilla\'s ambition shows no boundaries - the sky is the limit. Boasting its professional demeanor, a passionate and kinetic live show and an eye towards the future of music, Kamilla will continue to stand out as one of West Michigan\'s premiere rock bands. $17.79 Anyone familiar with the industrial-metal band's dark sense of irony should take one look at the title of Rammstein's 2009 album LIEBE IST FUR ALLE DA ("Love Is There For Everyone") and conclude that this one is a mean monster. Combining the tightness and punch of their 1998 album SEHNSUCHT with the musicianship and elaborate textures of their later work, LIEBE IST is a grand achievement, skillfully dividing ...

River City Reveille CD music
$12.69 This is a biography of my career in music. In my case a career in music is acontradiction in terms. I've always thought that music was free, and itstill is. However, after over forty years of writing songs I've finally puttogether a CD and I've come to realize(yet again) that the music IS free,it's the shipping and handling that'll cost you. With that in mind, I hopeyou buy the CD. It's time for me to quit my day job and learn the music biz.So here's a chronological breakdown of my musical past.David Gilliland and Eliza Gilkyson had a coffee house in Santa Fe NM latesixties early seventies. I had started to write my own songs. David andEliza were very good at writing and performing so I learned a lot rightthere. It was a small scene and all the musicians knew each other so therewere many changes happening. I joined a group called the Family Lotus, headed up by Jerry Faires and Jim Bowie. We played Claude's Bar on Canyonroad, the Bourban and Blues on Cerrillos road, the Line Camp in Pojoaque andany other place that would hire us. That band morphed into a bluegrassorchestra, with violin, cello, bass, guitars, banjo, piano, mandolin andsometimes two drummers. We did some recording in LA but I don't even knowwhat became of that. The band just imploded or something and I went back tomy solo act. Then along came ...
