Crossing the genres of punk, metal, and late 70's industrial noise, the group tirelessly pursues a unique sound of their own. With their new album, "My Bombs are Smarter than your Bombs", Georgia-based band Eight Days in May builds on the open flowing hypnotic sound first introduced in 2006, and sets out in new musical and lyrical directions with an album that showcases both Clutch's development as a writer and growth as an artist.Eight Days in May is Clutch Wingbat and various drummers and bass players and some friends dropping by the studio in the middle of the night."A lot of my songs are inspired by things I went through, traveling,falling in and falling out of love ," Clutch observes. "On some of this album I consciously took a step back and tried to look through other people's eyes. Maybe it's the weather or I'm a little older and see more clearly what's going on in the world."Most of this album was recorded in a mobile studio,from the Georgia to California,some songs with a full band ,others Clutch scratched out on his own playing all the instuments.
