| | Guster Satellite: EP CD Guster Discography of CDs
An expanded CD single featuring the title track, a tune from 2006's GANGING UP ON THE SUN, SATELLITE is a solid eight-track sampler of favorites by Boston-area alt-rockers Guster. Tracks two through five are outtakes from the album sessions that were deleted for reasons of length, not quality. The EP also features a radical remix of the title track and two live covers of the Beatles' "Two of Us" and Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart."

| | Guster Parachute CD (1995)
Satellite: EP
$11.95 Recorded while the band members were college juniors at Tufts University, Guster's debut album, Parachute, was something of a surprise hit for the Boston-based trio. Hailed as the Best Local Debut Album of 1995 by the Boston Globe, the album features rootsy but unique instrumentation. The songs are dominated by the twin acoustic guitars and excellent vocal harmonies of Ryan Miller and Adam Gardner, while the drum kit-free percussion is handled by Brian Rosenworcel. Ignoring traditional rock drumming, Rosenworcel relies on bongos and other hand percussion instruments to create a unique, full, one-man rhythm section. ...

| | Pete Anderson Daredevil CD (2004)
Satellite: EP
$10.55 Pete Anderson's third solo outing has been a long time coming, and one gets the distinct impression that it's the album he's been itching to make all along. Given that Daredevil is completely instrumental, the guitar geeks already have something to salivate about. But there's much more to it than that. Anderson played the vast majority of instruments, with help in a few places from multi-instrumentalist Skip Edwards and minimal assistance from trumpeter Lee Thornberg and fiddler Donny Reed as well. There's also some string work performed by some mysterious entity know as "the Skipper." If the Latin Playboys were an instrumental ...

$9.89 With the exception of the Melvins, at the point Sub Pop 200 was released the label had virtually every important Seattle band on its roster. Here 20 bands get to strut their stuff in the premainstream alternative rock world. And many of the bands that helped alternative rock reach its popularity are represented here, including Soundgarden, Nirvana, Screaming Trees, and Green River (which would mutate into Pearl Jam). Strangely enough, most of these bands do not have the standout tracks on the album. The Fastbacks try to steal the show with their charged cover of Green River's ...
