| | Nancy Lippincott In Folk-Us CD Nancy Lippincott Discography of CDs
Nancy Lippincott is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from Godfrey, Illinois. She began playing guitar and singing during the Folk Revival of the 60's and never stopped. Over the years, she has taught herself to play four more instruments: hammered dulcimer, mandolin, tenor banjo, and autoharp. Though partial to American folk and Celtic music, her repertoire includes early country, blues, swing, gospel, vintage rock and original material. "In Folk-Us" features Nancy on four instruments and vocals. Other contributing musicians are Kevin Liley on guitar, mandolin and banjo, Elliott Ribner on penny whistles and Zeb Briskovich on upright bass. The thing that distinguishes this 2 disc CD set is the variety of musical styles reflecting Nancy's ecletic taste. There is something here for everyone. You might say it's a musical smorgasbord. Come have a taste. In Folk-Us Music | Category | Folk Albums | | Label | CD Baby | | CD Universe Part number | 7400877 | | Catalog number | 122016 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Feb 20, 2007 |

$12.59 PIECE BY PIECE is the 2005 second album from jazz-influenced rock artist and includes her interpretations of hits by Willie Nelson ("On The Road Again") and the Cure ("Just Like Heaven").
Georgia-born (as in the country, not the state) singer/songwriter Katie Melua found herself atop the British charts in 2003 with her breezy debut, Call Off the Search, which sold over three million copies in Europe alone. Her laid-back blend of blues, jazz, and pop with a kiss of worldbeat drew comparisons to Norah Jones, and rightfully so. She sticks to the formula on her lush, ultimately safe follow-up, ...

In Folk-Us album
$12.69 Adam Berzowski got his start in 1992 playing clubs, festivals and hotels in Milwaukee and Madison, WI. with istrumental group "Spinnakoepeal Jive". In 1994 the band recorded theme music for "Spectravision On Cue with Jonathan Winters" which aired throughout the U.S.A., Mexico and Canada. In late 1997 Adam joined blues rock group "The Chris Aaron Band" later renamed "American Standard". The group featured singer Corey Sterling of Kenny Wayne Shepard fame as well as Bill Lordan of Robin Trower fame. American Standard disbanded in 2002. Since then Adam has been focussed on recording, and playing with a variety of groups from Atlantic City to Las Vegas and back home in the greater Milwaukee area with: The Don Moore Soultet, Reverser, Robert Allen Jr. Band (Zoot Suit Boogie), Solo Piano, The Tina Turner Show and Review, The Diamonds, Union, and Alpha Transit. Recordings from "The Chris Aaron Band/ American Standard and Reverser can be easily found if you do a google search on these titles. ........... Alpha Locomotive is Adam's current on going recording project. The music ranges in many different styles. There are currently two Alpha Locomotive cd's available "Little Grooves" and "Ride Control" and a third on the way. "Little Grooves" is basically just that: little grooves in a dirty funk. "Ride Control" is a much cleaner recording and the material is much more relaxed. The third cd, yet to be titled is predominantly swing, blues, gospel, and jazz. You can expect to hear acoustic piano, Hammond organ, just a touch of synthesizer, drums and bass. Quite a contrast from the last two recordings of Rhodes, Wurli, clav, analog synthesizers, drums and bass. The music is all performed NOT PROGRAMMED. These are real musicians playing and creating by hand. Performers on Alpha Locomotive recordings are: Adam Berzowski...keys Dave Schoepke...drums Geoff Howard...bass Tim Rush...drums Zaya...vox Don Moore, donmooremusic.com ...guitar Diedre Fellner...vox, fixintowail.com Yogi, John Jensen...vox Max Misko...guitar Randy Komberec...guitar Matt Miller...bass Dennis Sindberg...flute All of the graphic art on the Alpha Locomotive cd's is created and put together by Ben Pardell.REVIEW FROM SHEPARD EXPRESS AUGUST 2007:Alpha TransitHell on Wheelsby Jason Seed August 09, 2007The opening cut on Alpha Transit's debut album begins with a wash of ascending, extendedly dark harmonies that plunge into a relentless space-funk groove. The entire album is a blast and offers a full plate to groove-minded and intent listeners alike. With styles ranging from the aforementioned funk ...
