Aino Zenkoku Call
$13.79 Italian vocalist Laura Pausini became a worldwide sensation during the first 10 years of her recording career (although her success in America is minimal compared to Europe and Latin America). PRIMAVERA IN ANTICIPO, released in 2008 in both Italian and Spanish versions, extends Pausini's command over the adult contemporary form, offering up 14 tracks that play like foreign-language versions of Celine Dion or Phil Collins. Like Pausini's previous releases, PRIMAVERA IN ANTICIPO is layered with glossy production, ...

| | Rush Different Stages CDs (1998)
Aino Zenkoku Call
$21.29 DIFFERENT STAGES contains two discs of live tracks recorded in 1994 & 1997 and a third disc of live tracks recorded in 1978.
Disc one of DIFFERENT STAGES is an Enhanced CD containing a full audio program as well as multimedia computer files.
One may wonder--do we really need a fourth live album from Rush? After one listen to this set, the answer is an emphatic YES! Modern production techniques make the band's classics sound clearer and more vibrant than ever. In addition, new musical twists and turns make the songs sound refreshingly new; an extra drum fill here, an extended bass hook there. The band seems to improve with age; 20-year-old tunes sound tighter than ever, with the live versions exceeding the studio ones.
The package consists of three CD's: the first two were recorded in 1994 and 1997. The third is from 1978. After some '90s material is covered, the group launches into "2112," played in its entirety and impeccably done. "Analog Kid" and "Natural Science" are 2 other rarely performed songs that came off incredibly well. "The Rhythm Method" is a Neal Peart drum solo that takes arena rock ...
| | Jimmy Eat World Futures CD (2004) (Import) Bonus Track; Japan; Hong Kong
Aino Zenkoku Call
$47.29 After firmly establishing itself in the hearts and minds of rock fans through numerous EPs and two albums of angst-fueled power-pop, Jimmy Eat World scored a big hit single with "The Middle," from the excellent BLEED AMERICAN (re-christened JIMMY EAT WORLD in the wake of 9/11). The mainstream had finally caught up with Jimmy Eat World.
FUTURES, the ensemble's first album following its breakthrough, doesn't stray from the formula that has worked so well for the Arizona band. Jim Adkins's vocals are quietly insistent, and at times fiery, conveying reflective, intelligent lyrics that complement intricate melodies. ...

| | Disco Not Disco: 1974-1986 CD (2008)
Aino Zenkoku Call
$13.35 The Strut label's successful DISCO NOT DISCO series has done a commendable job in documenting some of the more left-of-center dance music from the late '70s to early '80s. The third installment highlights post-punk, electro, and left-field disco from the heady days of New York clubs like Funhouse and Paradise Garage. An era when DJs were free to mix up genres, tempos, and whole sensibilities as long as the music reflected its ebullient, youthful, and very cutting-edge milieu. Kicking off with "Laundrette," an opening salvo by legendary punk journalist Vivien Goldman, the collection emphasizes ...
