Amazing! The orchestra sounds great, the band sounds great, Meat sounds great. However, I think the best might be Patti Russo. Her vocals are superb and her acting on the DVD is the perfect foil to Meat. Plus she's so lovely and classy. Great concert, but a few editing problems on the DVD. Sometimes the camera seems to miss the action for wasted shots. By Bob (New Haven)
Meat Loaf does it again Meat Loaf is great on this cd and I would reccomend this to anyone. Although there isn't a wide selection of songs on this cd, I feel that the 7 songs that were put on here are great. I like Everyone of these songs and if you like them in a studio, you will not know what to think when you hear them live. By Preston (Kentucky)
Worth a listen Meat Loaf sound great and Patti Russo sounds even better. This concert would not have been complete without her powerful vocals. The men in the band are all masters of their instruments. I can't really hear CC so I don't have a comment on her, except her stage presence and attire didn't seem appropritate for some of the ballads on the DVD. I guess she doesn't have the experience or glamour of a pro like Ms. Russo. Nevertheless, the orchestra sounds fab on the tunes. By Mike (New Jersey) This review is for a different format.
Bat Out Of Hell --No Miss Meat Loaf and The Neverland Express with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, is easily the best live orchestrated rock album you'll ever hear. The Big vocals supported by Patti Russo, a vocal you can hear from space! When I popped in the DVD I really got a taste of what an orchestra sounds like as well as how Meat and the band perform. They are true entertainers, this album doesn't dissapoint! Everybody does their thing, and it leaves you in an (butt!!!) numbing experience, cause you could actually sit there and hear\watch the whole thing without yawning! This album and DVD brings those tunes alive again, in a fresher breath of air. With guitar solos, piano solos, drum solos and bass scales how could you go wrong! On the DVD the final track is Bat Out Of Hell, and rightfully so! Warning, only play this DVD Very Loud with some really good speakers. That's how you get your full experience with 5.1 Dolby Sound! Its crisp. CC (Psychedelic Queen) Background vocalist for Meat. She has a very sexy voice and respectively a nice body too. And she ain't afraid to sway in those red leather skirts! Plus she plays little guitar while Meat and Patti act out their mini rock operas. Not to mention classic rock and roll duels. This song lacks in some of Meat's 80's numbers, but who knows... Maybe we'll see an edgier DVD to come out after Bat 3. By takethelongroadhome (NB, Canada) This review is for a different format.
| 5 out of 5 ani't bad if you love meat or just like him this cd will bring a smile to your face.all the songs from bat 1 or here, plus patti russo who is the best woman singer in the world. the neverland express is at top form here.this is just a wonderful piece of music.buy the cd first then get the dvd it has more songs and is a classic meat loaf concert.don't wait get them both now you won't be sorry.
