$9.29 Additional personnel includes: Lorenzo Ponce (violin); David Gold (viola); Jane Scarpentoni (cello).
Principally recorded at Rockland Heights Studios, Northampton, Massachusetts between May and October 2000.
So maybe Joe Pernice isn't crazy. He spent his time between the release of the Pernice Brothers' Overcome By Happiness and The World Won't End by issuing Chappaquiddick Skyline and Big Tobacco under separate aliases, claiming that the material on those weren't from his top drawer and that the good stuff was being saved for the second Pernice Brothers record. Most listeners just rolled their eyes, figuring it to be yet another case of a musician's eccentricities and inability to recognize their own talents. After all, those "interim" releases did more than merely maintain fan attention; they might not have been as polished or perfected as Overcome By Happiness, but they were chipped from the same precious ore. So here's the payoff, proving that he was being accurate after all, if a twinge modest. With much of the support from Overcome staying on board with a couple of relative ...

| | Don Henley End Of The Innocence CD (1989)
I'm Ok You're Ok music CDs
$6.85 This 1989 release captures Don Henley at his best, and boasts well-crafted songs elevated by stunning poetic images and reflective narratives. In fact, few pop artists know how to illuminate the human condition with quite the same amount of insight and ethos as Henley. "The Last Worthless Evening" and "The Heart of the Matter" offer unique perspectives on love and romance, while other tracks seek even greater, more expansive, artistic truth.
The melancholy title track creatively blends together political denunciations (allusions to Ronald Reagan) with personal reckonings of lost virtue. In addition, jazz legend Wayne Shorter's soaring soprano sax solo on the bridge adds an emotional climax that's truly extraordinary. Another single from ...
| | Mercury Rev See You On The Other Side CD (1995) Import
I'm Ok You're Ok songs
$27.05 One of the finest and most consistently creative rock bands around, Mercury Rev meld '60s psychedelia, indie aggression, folk/pop melodicism, and epic sonic experimentation on the order of My Bloody Valentine to achieve a singular, deliciously satisfying, and endlessly engaging hybrid. SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE finds the band in characteristically inventive form.
Mercury Rev can do it all, their music combining a dose of Pink Floyd's kookiness with SGT. PEPPER-esque carnival embellishment, pure confectionery pop, punk energy, and splashes of avant-garde color. ...

| | Kansas Works In Progress CD (2006) (Import) Import
I'm Ok You're Ok CD music
$19.69 Fans of Kansas circa their heady Leftoverture and Point of Know Return period should be forewarned -- the group's 2006 double-disc set, Works in Progress, is a live recording that focuses strictly on the years 1992 though 2002. In other words, you won't find any undiscovered gems from when Kansas were an arena rock force in the '70s. That said, Kansas still sound as "grand" as ever. Frustratingly, there is very little information as to where these live tracks originated from -- except that the liner notes mention that the second disc/DVD contains tracks from a June 15, 2002, performance. Still, a handful of tracks ...
