Read the liner notes in this reissue and EC tells you all about how he was channelling all sorts of lyrical ideas from his travels on tour combined with politics, personal stuff, and literature.

| More pop than punk but still classic.
"Peace love and understanding" stands as one of, if not the best, of antiwar anthems released in the last 30 years, while "Two little Hitlers" can't be beat as a tale of a relationship in serious trouble.
