THE NAYSAYERSThe Best Band You’ve Never heard OfWith unforgettable songwriting and a sound reminiscent of timeless bands like The Jayhawks, BoDeans and Tom Petty, The Naysayers could possibly be the best band you’ve never heard of.From songwriting deals with Warner Chappell, to leading the popular 80’s group Thinman, Dennis Winslow and Rod Langdahl are no newcomers to the game. Both in their 40’s they’ve been witness to the epic highs and inevitable lows of the music biz. So when the two formed The Naysayers in 2005 they had no intention of making it big…just making great music. For that reason the Portland, Oregon based group has managed to remain largely under the radar. At the same time, however, both of their independently released albums. Life Without Regrets and Misery Loves Company, have been lauded by industry insiders and earned them a staunch, underground following throughout the Northwest. Terry Currier of Music Millennium called their 2005 debut Life Without Regrets, “…one of the catchiest albums of the year.”And it is no wonder-their talent for writing seems to grow faster than the gray hairs in their beards. For the last five years Winslow has been a songwriter for FirstCom Music and placed cuts in an arrays of national television shows and films including the likes of Crossroads, “CSI, “ “The Unit,” “Live! With Regis and Kelly,” “The Bernie Mac Show,” “American Idol,” “Saturday Night Live,” “Access Hollywood.” “Extra,” “Young and the Restless,” Playboy Channel’s “7 Lives Exposed” “The 700 Club” and many more. In addition, he and Langdahl also pitch songs together in Nashville through renowned song plugger Chris Keaton, specically for the Nashville market and separate from material they write for The Naysayers.Winslow (vocals and guitar) and Langdahl (vocals, guitar and keyboard) are joined by Rick Langdahl (bass), Jim Jacobson (drums) and Jim Fisher (guitar). And though their fanbase streches regionally, they are best known for the extraordinary live performances they put on in their hometown of Portland, Oregon.Langdahl owns a set building company called Stageright, Inc. which is converted into a performance venue for The Naysayers’ live shows. Langdahl builds and designs the stage and the club, transforming the space into different looks and feels, making each performance feel like a world of its own. At their last show, the space was converted into an authentic European speakeasy! Completely bypassing the hubbub of the local clubs and slinky promoters, these special events have created a bonafide epidemic in grass roots marketing for the group, bringing them new fans the old fashioned way-straight word of mouth. The band has just finished recording tracks for their third album, Come Into Focus, due for release in early 2007.

Come Into Focus album
$19.10 NEVER A DULL MOMENT picks up where EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY left off. Here we have more raucous rock & roll with healthy dollops of soul and twang thrown in for good measure. Always looking for a good songwriter to cover, Stewart's honorees here include Jimi Hendrix ("Angel"), Dylan ("Mama You Been On My Mind"), and Rod's personal hero, Sam Cooke ("Twistin' The Night Away"). Sidling up nicely next to these heartfelt interpretations are some of Stewart's finest original songs. Teaming ...

Come Into Focus music CDs
$13.84 Glitter and Doom Live, a double-disc set, marks Tom Waits' third live effort in his nearly 40-year career, each one summing up his career to the point of its release. The first, Nighthawks at the Diner issued in 1975 on Asylum, is regarded by many as one of the greatest live albums of all time. The second was Big Time, released during his tenure at Island in 1986. The musical performances on disc one of Glitter and Doom Live were culled from Waits' historic sold-out tour of ...

| | Daughtry Leave This Town CD (2009)
Come Into Focus album
$15.45 When he was recording his debut album in 2006, Chris Daughtry didn't have the time to assemble the real rock band he so desperately wanted to have, so it appeared under the band name Daughtry without featuring any of the musicians who later became part of the group. That's not the case with LEAVE THIS TOWN, Daughtry's second record: all five members are glowering on the album cover, floating like specters over an abandoned Californian street. The five rockers serve as visual evidence that Daughtry is a band, not a person, and such reminders may be necessary ...
