Queen Of Outer Space Movie Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) Campy Movies are the Best! This was my first campy movie. Try to understand that in 1958, Americans were afraid of everything: Communists, US Government, going out or staying in; I mean anything that could target a citizen was simply avoided. The thought of sex on a huge screen frighten even men among men. Then Hollywood invented the campy genre, (an ease into the seductive with hilarious dialog and unheard of situations. Space men going to Venus was plausible back then. then, pow!, in your face, beautiful women wearing awesome apparel; rough and tough and wanting, all to boot! When you watch it, think how we felt back in '58. But then again, this movie will never get old. Submitted by jerryleestone (bethany,OK, USA) Was This Review Helpful? low talent beauties The acting talent is difficult to find. However, it's hard to turn down long legged, miniskirted, high heeled, beauties with guns in space. Submitted by barry (phila., pa.) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$10.29 A meteor crashes in the desert near a small Arizona town, and research scientist John Putnam (Richard Carlson) thinks it's a spaceship, but no one will believe him except his loyal girlfriend, Ellen (Barbara Rush). Weird evidence begins to back up his theory however, from the strange behavior of some of the locals, to the slime trails, the ghostly noises in the phone lines, and the apparitions of hideous alien eyes swooping down on passing cars. Director Jack Arnold (CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON) lets the story unfold deliberately, and infuses the desert locale ...

Queen Of Outer Space DVD
$10.29 With the release of Robert Altman's M*A*S*H in 1970, a new form of comedy was born, one that would help to forever change the face of cinema. Altman's audacious film reflected the American counterculture's growing distrust of religion and government in the late 1960s and early 1970s, resulting in one of the biggest box office smashes of its time. Introducing the techniques he would employ throughout his storied career--overlapping dialogue, a constantly moving camera with a heavy amount of zooming, and a bold combination of frank subject matter with cynical humor--Altman immediately vaulted himself to Hollywood's upper ranks. Based on the novel by Richard Hooker, M*A*S*H follows a group of Mobile Army Surgical Hospital officers as they perform surgery and pass the time just miles from the front lines of the Korean conflict. Led by sardonic captains "Hawkeye" Pierce (Donald Sutherland) and "Trapper" John McIntyre (Elliott Gould), the film has the feel of an absurd ...
