The Italian duo of brothers Maurizio and Roberto Opalio, operate in the shadowy world of noise music under the mysterious name My Cat Is An Alien. Prolific collaborators with some of experimental music's biggest names such as Thurston Moore and Jim O'Rourke, MCIAA join forces here with emerging Italian artist Fabio Orsi on their tribute to legendary folk documentarist Alan Lomax. FOR ALAN LOMAX features two lengthy tracks of slow-boil improvisation centered on layers of disembodied voices, spacey guitar, and occasional explosions of white noise. Sublime and at times unsettling, one can almost discern the spectral voices of Leadbelly and Blind Lemon Jefferson within the tumultuous layers of droning electronics.

Along with Styx and REO Speedwagon, Journey ruled the charts and radio airwaves in the early '80s. And like the aforementioned bands, Journey began in the '70s, so obviously the compilers of its 1988 GREATEST HITS release had a lot of material to choose from.
Journey's sound was a merger of hard rock, compliments of guitarist Neal Schon, and the melodic pop/ballads of singer Steve Perry.
