Ways To Love A Man/Nashville By Carr album for sale by Vikki Carr was released Apr 17, 2007 on the EMI Latin label. This EMI Gold two-fer assembles a pair of country-inspired albums cut by songstress Vikki Carr in the early '70s. Ways To Love A Man/Nashville By Carr CD music Although Carr's vibrant, emotional vocals may seem better suited for the Great American Songbook than the Acuff-Rose catalog, Nashville by Carr transcends novelty status. Given the obvious parallels between the string-sweetened countrypolitan sound and traditional pop, Carr makes only a few adjustments and tweaks to fit comfortably within Julian Lee's sensitive arrangements, and her poignant voice is well calibrated for heartbreakers like "Today I Started Loving You Again" and "Everybody's Talkin'." Ways To Love A Man/Nashville By Carr CD music contains a single disc with 24 songs. ...See Full Description

||She can do it all Vikki's now doing country tunes!|
Reading all the reviews for her new import CD made me write to agree, you haven't heard anything until you hear Vikki singing such tunes as Sweet Memories, Gone, Tip of my Fingers, Lining on a Pray or Make it Rain. These are solid cuts that EMI were smart enough to give her fans. I expect this to quite popular, as her Ultimate Collection still at the top of the charts with this new CD. Great to hear and see Vikki selling as well as the younger county artists Vikki can do it all and thats why I am a fan now! Vikki would sell out here in Columbus Ohio come here Vikki please.

||THERE ARE SO MANY WAYS TO LOVE VIKKI CARR'S MUSIC|
EMI UK again has given the world 24 more reasons to love Ms. Vikki Carr's music by releasing "The Ways to Love a Man" and "Nashville By Carr." Ms. Carr is no stranger to Country Music, as her first recordings were country-pop oriented ("I'll Walk the Rest of the Way" and "He's a Rebel"). Throughout her carear she performed on TV shows geared to the country market ("The Jimmy Dean Show"). Her Top 40 hit "With Pen in Hand" solidified her right to be listed as one of the best interpreters of Country Music. But it was "Nashville By Carr," released in 1969, that gave Ms. Carr the recognition and admiration of fellow country artists such as Johnny Cash who considered her one of the finest female vocalists. It was her recording of "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down" that inspired Mr. Cash to make his own recording of that song. Her strong appeal to country and pop fans alike allowed United Artists Records (who bought out Liberty Records in 1970) to release a second album of entirely country-oriented tunes by Ms. Carr. The songs on that album were recorded around the same time as Nashville By Carr, but were either released on singles or other albums, or were shelved. Listening to these recordings gives further evidence to Ms. Carr's amazing ability to make each song her own, and allows her listeners an opportunity to hear her sing in a style of music that she loves so well. Thanks again to EMI UK for releasing this CD. The music world is a better place now that these two albums are available again for our listening pleasure.

||So worth the wait...|
I have waited for years for these albums to be released on CD. To have both of them on the same CD is a wonderful treat. Vikki's ability to sing a song in a way that convinces you she is singing from her heart, and the depths of her soul, is beyond amazing. If you think you don't like country music, just give these a listen. No twang, just beautiful, down-to-earth country music. From heart-throbbing ballads to soft country rock, there is something for everybody. This is the kind of music you can listen to anytime..anywhere, and any age group. Timeless classics, sung by a woman who knows how to make them her own. I can't thank you enough!!!

||Simply the best, VIKKI CARR|
Finally we have Vikki's best country together on CD. It is amazing that after over 42 years of listening to Vikki, I continue to enjoy and love her voice, style and interpretation of songs. If you like country you'll love it more than ever; if you've never cared for country music, listen to Vikki one time and you'll never be able to say you don't care for it again.
