Five In Crisis was born in Los Angeles to five musicians who transplanted from elsewhere in the country, and chose to make LA their home. Each of the musicians brought with them the basic DNA of various musical styles, formal training, and experience to make Five In Crisis a strong classic rock style band. No gimmicks or extreme melodic games, just straight forward easy to listen to lyrics, with a groove that cuts through to the core of anyone who’s experienced everything that life has to offer. Fredric and Ralph Johnson’s melody’s and lyrics waste no time in getting to the point of it all.Ralph’s guitar leads are clean and magically catchy; you’re guaranteed to hear them playing in your head long after the music has played. Fredric’s soft vocal style is unpretentious, yet familiar. He will immediately warm your heart. Scott Chaney holds the reigns on the drums and percussion, and does a handy job singing and adding memorable strong backing vocals when called upon. Roger Corso, perhaps the most rehearsed Bass player in LA, is the stability of the Five In Crisis sound which is remarkably in direct contrast to his energetic big city Michigan honed demeanor. Ray Anthony’s voice is effortlessly controlled and powerful yet unpredictable in his versatility and range. After playing in LA’s Inland Empire music scene for the last few years, Five In Crisis hit the Eastgate Media Studio in 2006 for their first time self produced album titled Etched In Stone, forever memorializing their signature yet versatile sound.
