This is a collection of artist that came together like butt-cheeks. First there was me Big P Dawg who put the company together from my daytime job. I assemble a studio together with just $35 a week from my check. Then there was my cousin Sin who was a rapper-he came to visit me for two weeks and never left after he got in the studio. Then came was Leone who I meet through Sin and I coached into singing in the studio-also been recording and never left. And Diehard who was a friend that I meet through my aunt. And say that I was so commited and that this wasn't a fad and got inspire by my commitment to succeed that he began to write and rap and join along for the ride. Also my young cousin Dizzy Devil who use to rap at the school yard for fun and respect began to record with sin on his first track Bombay's in the Building. Also who join along for the ride was Scotch who I meet thru my cousin Sin began to write and record. And finally my brother The Unknown moved back to Cali to work in Construction with me and also was a rapper. Me and him use to freestyle against one another-jumped on the band wagon. And now there's a host of colabs and rappers and singers recording for us. Born in the prairie town of Calhan, Colorado, pianist Warren is the granddaughter of a true cowboy. She came to Northeast Ohio in 1986 to begin her Bachelor's of Music at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she studied piano performance and jazz studies, with mentors Wendell Logan, Neal Creque and Kenny Davis. Following her 1990 Oberlin graduation, she earned a Masters in Music degree from Cleveland State University. Now living in Cleveland Heights, Warren is on the faculty at the Cuyahoga Community College Jazz Studies program (Metro Campus) and has taught since 1997 at the Cleveland Music School Settlement. She has performed and recorded with The Jazz Heritage Orchestra, the Afro-Cleveland Orchestra, Sammy DeLeon y su orquesta and other groups. She often plays out around town with her own trio or quartet. Wynton Marsalis, Clark Terry, Solomon Burke, Percy Sledge, Marcus Belgrave, and Terence Blanchard are among the notables she has performed with. Her mom was her first teacher, and she was one of the only musical kids in Calhan, the tiny Colorado town where she was born. Jackie began playing when she was five, and by the time she was ten, knew she'd been born to sit at the keyboard. Jackie's brothers are remarkably musical, too, and family jam sessions, led by her dad, who played by ear, represented her first foray into jazz; having a good sense of pitch helped, too. The family training guided Jackie toward a musical career, and by the time she left her prairie home, she'd studied with several piano teachers including Myra Boitos, a crucial figure in her formative years. Boitos insisted Jackie take formal classical lessons and introduced her to another soul mate, Juilliard University grad Charles Day.
