| | Mike Benjamin Never Too Late CD Mike Benjamin Discography of CDs
Born in Cambridge, Mike started his musical career as a young teenager playing in the streets of Harvard Square and in the subways of Boston. Soon he found himself playing in bars and clubs and performing extensively during the summer months on Martha's Vineyard. After attending Hampshire College, Mike moved to New York and quickly became a busy studio singer and player, doing record dates, song demos and recording scores of national jingles from Coke to Clorox to Bud and played extensively in The New York City club scene. Ten years in New York city and ready for a change, Mike moved himself and family to Martha's Vineyard Massachusetts and joined the 1996 Boston Music Award winning Band, "Entrain." While touring Nationally with Entrain, Mike worked on two of the bands CDs. In 2000, Mike left the band and began working with his own group "The Mike Benjamin Band" and released a 14 song disk "Never Too Late". Songs from this cd are in regular rotation on several radio stations including WMVY, WBOS, WCIB, WUMB and more. Over the years mike has played with such greats as Bo Diddley, James Taylor, The David Letterman Band, The Blues Brothers, Carly Simon, Sue Tadeschi and many others. During his years in New York he recorded with many artists including Mark Cohn, Delbert McClinton, Patty LaBell, Will Lee, Vicky Sue Robinson, Paul Shaffer. This past summer Mike and the band had the honor of playing at ex-president Bill Clinton's 60th Birthday on Martha's Vineyard. Never Too Late album
$14.38 Glitter and Doom Live, a double-disc set, marks Tom Waits' third live effort in his nearly 40-year career, each one summing up his career to the point of its release. The first, Nighthawks at the Diner issued in 1975 on Asylum, is regarded by many as one of the greatest live albums of all time. The second was Big Time, released during his tenure at Island in 1986. The musical performances on disc one of Glitter and Doom Live were culled from Waits' historic sold-out tour of the U.S. and Europe. He compiled and sequenced the set himself, intending to make them sound like a single show. The material leans, understandably, on his recordings with the Anti label. There are stellar performances here, such as "Get Behind the Mule" from The Mule Variations, "Trampled Rose" from Real Gone, and a ...

The breakthrough success of DARK SIDE OF THE MOON made WISH YOU WERE HERE a crucial follow-up in strictly commercial terms. Further pressure came from it being Pink Floyd's first recording for a new label, Columbia. Yet the demands on the band only provided Roger Waters with more fodder for his lyrics, which glanced at the band's roots as well as their new responsibilities.

Her dynamics, even during a single number, may range from a wiser to a rousing, full-throated proclamatory line'-San Francisco Examiner'The road to notoriety is long, bumpy, and steep. Artists need an all-terrain temperament and a lot of drive if they are to arrive intact. It's a lesson Bay Area Singer-songwriter Jessie Turner knows well. For several years she has slowly but surely been winning over audiences on the U.S. folk circuit with her warm crystalline voice, deft guitar work, and powerful stage presence. Recently she even sang to millions of television viewers who saw her perform the American ...
