| | John Paul Jude Argument For The Sake Of CD John Paul Jude Discography of CDs
John Paul Jude is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. His newest record "Argument For The Sake Of" marks the first time that he played all the instruments on the record and co-produced the album with producers Andre Devito, Kevin McGhee, and Chris Mayrena. John Paul Jude's songs capture the emotional side of his audience with songs like "Found Another" and "Estellita" while other songs reflect his fears of failing in relationships ("Just Tell Me", "Argument For The Sake Of", and "Hurt Times". Take a listen and leave a message for John Paul Jude at myspace.com/johnpauljude.*IMPORTANT MESSAGE*There's been a mistake within the linear notes of the CD "Argument For The Sake Of". Apparently, we mentioned that John Paul Jude did play all the instruments and produce the record, but oddly forgot to put that he wrote the songs both musically and lyrically. We are looking to fix the problem on future prints. -Highway Soul Music Argument For The Sake Of Music John Paul Jude Argument For The Sake Of Songs | 1. | Argument for the Sake Of |

Argument For The Sake Of album
$14.38 Glitter and Doom Live, a double-disc set, marks Tom Waits' third live effort in his nearly 40-year career, each one summing up his career to the point of its release. The first, Nighthawks at the Diner issued in 1975 on Asylum, is regarded by many as one of the greatest live albums of all time. The second was Big Time, released during his tenure at Island in 1986. The musical performances on disc one of Glitter and Doom Live were culled from Waits' historic sold-out tour of the U.S. and Europe. He compiled and sequenced the set himself, intending to make them sound like a single show. The material leans, understandably, on his recordings with the Anti label. There are stellar performances here, such as "Get Behind the Mule" from The Mule Variations, "Trampled Rose" from Real Gone, and a haunting version of Leadbelly's "Fannin Street" from Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards, to mention just three of the 17 cuts here. But he goes back to his Island albums too. For instance, there are completely re-visioned readings of "Lucky Day" and "I'll Shoot the Moon" from 1993's Black Rider, and a killer -- though equally revamped -- version of "Singapore" from 1985's Rain Dogs. Musically, ...
| | Sting If On A Winter's Night... CDs (2009) Digipak
Argument For The Sake Of CD music
$14.19 It's no secret that Sting is a serious man, so it's only logical that his holiday album -- his first new music since the Police reunion, not that it really matters -- is a serious endeavor, thank you. No niceties for him, no comforts of carols; he favors formal over familiar, writing madrigals, not ditties. It is music made by someone who lives in a castle, which isn't necessarily such a bad thing: the austerity is genuine, not affected, and the cerebral nature of the album is fascinating, albeit ...

| | Rod Stewart Never A Dull Moment (Gold) CD (1972) Gold
Argument For The Sake Of album
$19.10 NEVER A DULL MOMENT picks up where EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY left off. Here we have more raucous rock & roll with healthy dollops of soul and twang thrown in for good measure. Always looking for a good songwriter to cover, Stewart's honorees here include Jimi Hendrix ("Angel"), Dylan ("Mama You Been On My Mind"), and Rod's personal hero, Sam Cooke ("Twistin' The Night Away"). Sidling up nicely next to these heartfelt interpretations are some of Stewart's finest original ...

Argument For The Sake Of CD music

Argument For The Sake Of music CDs
$12.15 Jarrett grew up listening to his Mom and Dad's favorites and they can all be heard in the songs that he writes. It is obvious that he grew up singing in the car to the likes of Van Morrison, Bonnie Raitt and Bob Seger. The depth and soul he possesses in his voice compliment his simple, straightforward approach to songwriting making his music hard not to like. The 25 year old part time musician currently "makes a living" working as an Executive Recruiter focused on the tri-state area of the country. ...

| | Reidar Enjoy The Picture Show (Pulling The Wool Over Our CD (2007)
Argument For The Sake Of album
$10.15 A friend and fellow musician once said that Reidar plays unobvious pop music. Regardless of whether it was meant to compliment or demean, Reidar embraces the description. Composed of five Seattle guys in touch with the local music scene and instilled with a will to dance and in turn inspire dancing, Reidar makes music that is not without sweeping emotional affect. Drawing on the song writing of their favorite bands, Reidar brings together clever, candid, and carefully scripted lyrics that bring to mind the writing of Ben Gibbard with a sound that might be best described as a combination of Minus the Bear, United State of Electronica, and the Appleseed Cast. They combine the genre of the more and more popular dance rock/electronica with an epic alternative sound. Reidar capitalizes on the diverse musical backgrounds and tastes of its members. Each of them has studied music in an academic setting and brings to the table their own strengths and style to create the bands unique flavor. They feature a comfortable and charismatic front man, David Hendrix, on lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Jesse Erickson is the icing ...
