Larry (Stanley Tucci) is a chronically unsatisfied ex-pat residing on a remote island village in the Mediterranean. The village is famous for having been the home of one of Europes most celebrated composers. Larry's modest talents have confined him to playing the piano in local bars. Desperate to make his mark Larry stages a gala concert as a tribute to the late composer. His plans, however, are challenged by every inhabitant of the village including his partner, the neurotic, Miranda (Jessica Stevenson), Helena (Emmanuelle Seigner), Veronica (Marisa Paredes), Sebastian (Hugh Bonneville), Dickie (Rhys Ifans),and Frankie (Jena Malone). Stanley Tucci (THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA) earns top billing in this comedy about a songwriter with one last chance to make it big. Larry (Tucci) left his homeland for a Mediterranean village, hoping to be inspired by the spirit of one of its dearly departed citizens, a famed composer. He begins to plan a concert in honor of his hero, but he encounters obstacles a variety of people, including the man's widow (Marisa Paredes) and his mistress (Emmanuelle Seigner). His own recently discovered daughter (Jena Malone, DONNIE DARKO) isn't making things easier either, but Larry is determined to have his chance to celebrate the legend and share his own music with the world. British comedic talent such as Rhys Ifans, Hugh Bonneville, and Jessica Stevenson round out the gifted cast.
