If you love Charlie, Roy, Johnny, Robby, Ricky, and Ray you must buy this DVD!!! The picture is more clear than those old VCR tapes you used to record the Menudo stuff on. It will bring back memories. :)

Talking Heads present REMIXED featuring 12 tracks including "She Was" and "Blind (Extended Mix)." A single CD collection of Talking Heads's 12" singles from the years 1985-1987. For the musical adventurers they were, the Heads didn't get into the remixing business until late in the game, and only in the years when they, conversely, were at their least experimental (the albums Little Creatures, True Stories, and Naked). At their best, these remixes supercede the originals by opening up the instrumentation, breaking apart the parts and reassembling them into a broader sound spectrum ("The Lady Don't Mind" is a perfect example); at worst, they simply bring the drums up in the mix and extend the song by repeating verses without the vocals or other studio trickery ("And She Was," "Wild Wild Life"), typical of much remix work of the early '80s. An amusing mix of "Radio Head" by Full Force drops in samples from "Once in a Lifetime" to propel it forward, and Arthur Baker's reshuffling of "Blind" takes a dense mix and throws it all up in the air. It's certainly not a complete collection -- where are the Jellybean Benitez remixes of "Making Flippy Floppy" and "Slippery People" among others? -- but certainly covers most of the bases. ~ Ted Mills Although "Houses in Motion" (from Remain in Light) was released in an extended version, Talking Heads didn't start dabbling in extended remixes until Speaking in Tongues, which had some brilliant remixed B-sides. ETOILES is a documentary written and directed by Nils Tavernier (son of director Bertrand Tavernier). The film focuses on the dancers of the Paris Opera Ballet, one of the oldest and most rigorous ballet academies in existence, founded by Louis XVI, and producing some of the best dancers alive. The dancers, choreographers, teachers, students, and even the staff who work at the Ballet are captured in the film, weaving an intricate tapestry that shows the busy, demanding, and highly structured world in which these people live. The process of becoming a Paris Opera Ballet dancer is brutal, both physically and psychologically. Girls between the ages of 8 and 10 and boys between the ages of 9 and 11 begin at the Paris Opera Ballet's offshoot in Nanterre. There, they are trained by teachers who have been with the company for decades and who, often, are themselves graduates of the school. An annual exam determines whether the students graduate to the next level, and only a handful make the cut. Individual interviews with the adult dancers have them describe what dancing means to them, and many are at a loss for words, declaring it a way of life and the only thing they know.
