Spectacle De L'Albatros 1976 music CDs
$23.65 Rock trio Emerson, Lake & Palmer's LIVE IN POLAND features the group's 1997 concert. The 10 tracks include "Knife Edge" and "Lucky Man."
These tracks have been issued under a number of titles, however the contents remain the same, a June 1997 performance from prog rock supergroup Emerson, Lake and Palmer (ELP), not long before they took an extended hiatus from touring or recording together. The track list reveals the band heavily favoring their early titles, perhaps due, at least in part, to the trio's concurrent launch of their remastered CD catalog. While the vast majority of the set is fairly predictable in terms of song selection, ELP do throw a few curves, most notably the Tarkus (1972) deep cut "Bitches Crystal," as well as "Touch And Go." The latter originates from the one-off Emerson, Lake and Powell project with Cozy Powell (drums) in for Carl Palmer. However, even the 'oldies' have been given re-arrangements, some of which are subtle, while others would be evident even to the casual listener. Among the more blatant are the slight amendments to the "Tarkus" suite, which work in a medley with "Pictures At An Exhibition." The other somewhat conventional material such as the "Karn Evil 9: 1st Impression, Pt. 2" opener, "Lucky Man," "From The Beginning," and "Take A Pebble" are far from being rote interpretations, ...

Spectacle De L'Albatros 1976 album
$13.69 The Songs:Capture: "No genre can describe this unique song."The Seed: "Ethereal..."Oh Mother: "A parenting guide...with an edge!"Where Love Resides: "Uplifiting."Comin' Home: "Rough and energetic, like a live performance. You can't help singing along with the chorus by the end of the song."Because of You: "A love song on many levels."Take Me Somewhere: "It Rocks!"Take It: "Lots of Attitude!"Chara River: "The special effects are awesome. A ten minute journey.""The music flows like a river, sometimes through a shaded region, then quickly moves over and down a rocky slope and ultimately ends at the Oasis, the serene locus of harmony. It's like a journey that goes through quite a few mood changes. The last song is like a reflection on the journey, a discovery of truth or meaning."-A philosophical fan from IllinoisKerry Rutherford, In her own words:"Many of the songs on this CD are an expression of an inner experience which springs from a yearning to connect inside myself to a feeling that is hard to define. I love to read the poems of Kabir, Rumi and Mira, as they express the joy and longing of that inner connection. These folks are labeled as Sufi Mystic Poets of the Bhakti tradition, the path of devotion, as they personify the creator and teacher as a lover to whom they are devoted. Poems can be interpreted in many ways, and so you are free to enjoy the songs on Chara River, interpreting them as they fit your emotions and life. So many of these songs have been interpreted as love songs, perhaps written about a relationship. In reality, most of these songs were written about a love of this inner experience and about a gratitude for being alive and for teachers who directed me inside myself, to the source of it all."Kerry was given her first guitar when she was 18 years old but only played occasionally while attending the University of Washington in Seattle, where she earned a bachelors degree in anthropology. Then she started traveling and playing more, writing and singing original tunes, eventually heading north to Alaska where she spent several years in Kodiak. She has been a floral designer, shrimp cannery worker, crab pot webber, waitress, natural food store owner, office manager, marketing director, elementary school teacher, communications workshop facilitator, computer consultant, research assistant, intuitive arts practitioner, writer, musician and mother (not necessarily in that order). Kerry studied audio engineering and midi production for several years. Portions of several of these songs were recorded at Triad Studios in the Seattle area in the summer of 2000. But when the pace of life got to hectic she packed her bags and headed to the mid-west where more of the songs were written and recorded, with the collaboration of the multi-talented David Bell, playing percussion, spanish guitar, electric guitar and bass! She finsihed recording and mixing Chara River at Monastic Chambers ...
