Times change. Dangers remain. 10 years after he became President of the Interstellar Alliance, Sheridan prepares for a fateful Babylon 5 reunion that could prevent Earth's impending doom...if he will also compromise his core principles. Meanwhile, commander Lochley confronts an unexpected interloper on the way station - a being whose presence makes the B5 freeport the crossroads between heaven and hell. Director: J. Michael Straczynski. Actors: Peter Woodward, Bruce Boxleitner, Bruce Ramsay, Tracy Scoggins, Teryl Rothery, Alan Scarfe, Keegan Macintosh. In 1994 STAR TREK had to take a backseat to this science fiction series, created by J. Michael Straczynski. The Babylon 5 space station has become an interplanetary peaceful negotiation center in the 23rd Century. Humans and aliens attempt to settle differences in a reasonable fashion here under the stewardship of President John J. Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner). THE LOST TALES takes place 10 years after Sheridan's rise to president, where he awaits a reunion between the original Babylon 5 crew. Babylon 5: The Lost Tales Reviews: 3 stars out of 5 -- "Astonishingly, the three actors step back into their characters after a decade as if they've never been away....The space shots and, in particular, a sequence set in New York are brilliant."-- Richard Houldsworth, Ultimate DVD Babylon 5: The Lost Tales | List Price | $24.98 (You save $4.69) | | Studio | Warner Home Video | | Orig Year | 2007 | | All Time Sales Rank | 5649 | | CD Universe Part number | 7434022 | | Catalog number | 112984 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Jul 31, 2007 | | Rating | Not Rated | | Running Time | 72 Minutes | | Additional Info | Widescreen; Subtitled | | Movie Details | Color; Widescreen; Subtitled |
Babylon 5: The Lost Tales Movie Review Average Rating: (2.4 out of 5 stars) Forshame How can the creators of B5 come up with such crap.I bought this especially because it was not out in the uk until september. There were hardly any of the original cast, no action and for the majority of the film everyone was just talking. The only thing good about the film was that the special effects were alot better than the tv series. I just hope that if another film comes out, they will do a better job. COME ON JMS GIVE THE B5 FANS WHAT THEY WANT, A DECENT MOVIE. Submitted by chrisharrison78 (Blackpool UK) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
OUT STANDING The only problem with this disc is - its not enough. It brings back all the wonderful fun of B5 and is thought provoking. I wish that some of the other original characters had been in it, but you can't have everything. B5 was the very best ever Scifi created. It was more clever and innovative than Stargate, Star Trek or Star Wars. This disc is worth every cent and is a must if you are a B5 fan. I only wish this had been a prelude to bring back the series. stop now i was completely dissapointed. the stories are poorly written and executed. this is not babylon 5. not even close. you may rent it, but if you are a big fan of b-5 you will most likely feel cheated. the effects are good. the music is good. thats about it. True to B5 Its been what, 8-10 years since the last episode of Babylon 5 aired? Doesn't matter. This release is true to the show. It is like I just watched a brand new extended episode. Not a lame attempt to recreate past glories, but a new piece to the story, true to the original series, adding to the original story line with the same texture and spirit ... I want more! More, More, More !!!!!
If nothing else, this movie offers a possible new definition of what Hell is which pretty much satisfies science, science-fiction, and Biblical requirements, all while remaining true B5. If that alone doesn't justify the price of this disc, then you are not a B5 fan. If you are a B5 fan and know the storyline of this wonderful series, this disk is a must. It could have been released many years ago - it's absolutely seamless, and very good. Babylon 5 is back. Woo-Hoo!!!!!

Why Why Why ??? I loved the show - looked forward to this for a long time - Ugh - why was this made? I hope its just the beginning so maybe this disc will make sense - stories are mildly interesting but at 72 minutes - no payoff. No action - mostly ALL dialogue - Fans should buy this however and make their own judgement. Submitted by Larry (Toms River, NJ) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
