Multi-Dimensional Warrior album for sale Product Description

Multi-Dimensional Warrior album for sale by Santana was released Oct 14, 2008 on the Columbia label. The depth of feeling inherent in Carlos Santana's guitar playing is nearly matched (but not quite) by the size and breadth of his discography: since the late 1960s the man has churned out a staggering amount of material, all of which features his unique hybrid sound that draws on rock, Latin, jazz, blues, and other forms of roots music. Given the dizzying plethora of options, newcomers might be at a loss about where to start exploring Santana's' music, which is why best-ofs like 2007's MULTIDIMENSIONAL WARRIOR are an excellent bet. Multi-Dimensional Warrior CD music is a 2-disc set with 28 songs.   ...See Full Description

The CD was Collection was Produced by Carlos, Himself. On Spirit , track new Guitar licks are on it. No info on the remixes on this new collection but it is a first to have Carlos in Control who has mixed his Guitar up front on many tracks.

Can't Get Enough !!!!!
I've been a Santana fan since the release of thier first album in 1969. I've only had this new release a few weeks and have listened to both CDs countless times! The people that Carlos works with are fabuluos, and Carlos' talent is beyond words!!! Every track is excellent and many tracks are extremely excellent!!!

Santana shines
In contrast to several recent Santana releases, MDW sees Santana at his original best. This CD shows what a fine musician he is.

Multi-Dimensional Warrior CD music A surprise best-seller when it was first released, this mostly improvised pairing of singer/keyboardist/producer Al Kooper with two major guitar heroes of the day sounds fascinating all these years later precisely because of the distance of time--nobody makes records like this any more. The material runs the gamut from folk pop (covers of Donovan and Dylan), to blues ("Albert's Shuffle," "You Don't Love Me"), to heady jams ("His Holy Modal Majesty"), to big-band jazz ("Harvey's Tune"). All the tunes make effective templates for the kind off-the-cuff music-making that in less capable hands might have resulted in simple noodling. In fact, although Bloomfield and Stills don't play together on any of the cuts (Bloomfield played on one side of the original LP, Stills on the other), all three principals get off lots of good licks and producer Kooper has some interesting tricks up his sleeve, as in the over-the-top phasing he lavishes on "You Don't Love Me." The only real disappointment here is that Stills, a far better singer than Kooper, never opens his mouth. Those familiar with the Live Adventures album these two recorded at the Fillmore West know how brilliant they could be on stage, and here's another gem, recorded at the Fillmore East this time and featuring 'One Way Out,' 'It's My Own Fault' (with Bloomfield trading licks with Johnny Winter...Johnny was signed to Columbia after this gig!). Newly remastered & now with 4 bonus tracks, 'Albert's Shuffle' (2002 Remix w/o Horns), 'Season of the Witch.' (2002 Remix w/o Horns), 'Blues For Nothing' (Studio Outtake) & 'Fat Grey Cloud' Previously Unreleased Live Track). Features 12-page booklet with unpublished photos from the recording session, new liner notes by Al Kooper & the Rolling Stone Hall Of Fame review by David Fricke. 60 scintillating minutes! 13 tracks. Colunbia/Legacy. 2003. Includes liner notes by Al Kooper, Michael Thomas. Includes liner notes by Michael Thomas. Full performer name: Mike Bloomfield/Al Kooper/Steve Stills. Personnel: Mike Bloomfield (electric guitar); Al Kooper (vocals, 12-string & electric guitars, piano, organ, ondioline); Steve Stills (electric guitar); Barry Goldberg (electric piano); Harvey Brooks (bass); Eddie Hoh ...

Multi-Dimensional Warrior buy CD music As the electric guitar ace Joe Bonamassa was so strongly inspired by blues and blues-oriented six-stringers (i.e., Clapton, Johnny Winter), many of his fans would politely pester him about doing a disc of blues standards. Originally done as a lark, the results of such a session were deemed by Bonamassa good enough to be released--hence, BLUES DELUXE, on which he covers some lesser-known songs and includes three originals. Of course, his fierce, scorching guitar is center stage. If axe-men such as Peter Green, Rory Gallagher, and Buddy Guy are your cup of tea, this DELUXE item is a necessity. Recorded at Unique Studios, New York, New York. Includes liner notes by Harris Cohen. Personnel: Joe Bonamassa (vocals, guitar); Jon Paris (harmonica); Benny harrison (Hammond B-3 organ); Eric Czar (electric bass); Kenny Kramme (drums).

Multi-Dimensional Warrior songs Those who find the pairing of '70s rock god Robert Plant with contemporary bluegrass queen Alison Krauss unlikely have probably not been paying attention to Plant's latter-day work, which is full of intimate, acoustic-flavored balladry. While the organic-sounding, low-key Plant/Krauss collaboration, RAISING SAND, is a far cry from Led Zeppelin's stadium rock, it offers up some hauntingly moody textures that should appeal to "Battle of Evermore" admirers. Consisting mostly of sagely chosen cover tunes, the album finds Plant and Krauss bringing their warm-but-eerie harmonies to everything from Townes Van Zandt's nihilistic folk poetry ("Nothin'") to the crumbled beauty of latter-day Tom Waits ("Trampled Rose"). Determined not to rest on their laurels or cater to expectations, the 59-year-old icon and his junior partner craft a subtle and intriguing sound built on their shared love of folk forms and gift for interpretation, bringing to light esoteric gems by late Byrds visionary Gene Clark and the Everly Brothers along the way as well.

Multi-Dimensional Warrior album for sale Another year, another Gary Moore blues-rock album nearly interchangeable with the last. That's no problem for fans or even newcomers, because despite the surface similarities between releases, Moore never seems to be going through the motions for the sake of further bulking up his already substantial catalog. His tough guitar lines remain biting yet classy, and his underappreciated voice is strong and convincing on originals and covers that nail all of the blues-rock bases without sounding rote. While there are no surprises here, Bad for You Baby is far from a disappointment. Moore continues a string of rugged, post-hard rock, power blues that he has carved his niche in since 1990's Still Got the Blues. He applies his throaty vocals and feral guitar to a pair of Muddy Waters tunes to impressive effect. No one will mistake his versions of Waters' "Walking Through the Park" or "Someday Baby" for the classic Chess era nuggets they are. Yet Moore's rocked up attack hits the mark for being relatively faithful to their melodies even as he wields his power blues sledgehammer. Moore boogies through J.B. Lenoir's "Mojo Boogie" like he invented the style, and even if his husky vocals will never be mistaken for Lenoir's reedy, high pitched singing, he tears into the tune with enough energy to shake up anything in the Johnny Winter songbook. Guitar shredders will thrill to the hot fret acrobatics of the double-time "Down the Line," and those who thought Led Zeppelin's first album was their finest hour should chow down on the hard rocking Jimmy Page-isms of "Umbrella Man." Moore writes one for the ladies on the sweet ballad "Holding On," which won't win any awards for lyrical complexity but boasts a lovely melody and Otis Taylor's daughter, Cassie, on backing vocals. Cassie returns with her dad (plucking nearly inaudible banjo) for the swamped up "Preacher Man Blues" that features some surprisingly effective harp from Moore, the only time he plays it on this disc. Al Kooper's slow, yearning "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know" from the New Yorker's Blood, Sweat & Tears stint is given an extended, nearly 11-minute treatment that's as compelling as BS&T's. Those hoping for Moore to expand his horizons will need to wait a little longer, but for existing followers and especially those new to his gutsy approach, Bad for You Baby more than fills the bill. ~ Hal Horowitz Audio Remasterer: Sean Magee. Personnel: Gary Moore (vocals, guitar, harmonica); Vic Martin (keyboards); Pete Rees (bass guitar); Sam Kelly (drums). Audio Mixers: Greg Jackman; Gary Moore.

Multi-Dimensional Warrior buy CD music Compilations are always trying to outdo each other, claiming to be "definitive," "ultimate," or the "the best of the best." ULTIMATE SANTANA lays claim to its title by spanning the guitarist's entire career, from the late 1960s to the early 2000s. It's true that there is a fair showing of the Santana classics of yore, including "Oye Como Va," "Evil Ways," and "Black Magic Woman," but the majority of the 18-track set is devoted to Santana's crossover work in the '90s and 2000s. In fact, ULTIMATE plays like an advertisement for Santana's star-studded collaborations. In addition to chart-toppers like "Smooth" (featuring Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20), there are collaborations with Jennifer Lopez, Tina Turner, Everlast, Michelle Branch, and Nickleback's Chad Kroeger, among others. This makes ULTIMATE somewhat lopsided as a retrospective, but those looking for a summation of the man's latter-day pop music mixed in with some classics will enjoy this collection. Personnel: Neal Schon (guitar); Karl Perazzo (electric guitar, bass guitar); Chester Thompson (organ, congas, timbales, percussion); Gregg Rolie (keyboards); David Brown (bass guitar); Mike Carabello (congas). Additional personnel: Rob Thomas , Everlast, Jennifer Lopez, Alex Band, Maná, Michelle Branch, Steven Tyler , Baby Bash, The Product G&B, Tina Turner, Chad Kroeger.
