| not too bad for retro thrash there are WAY WAY too many crappy retro thrash bands out there right now, at least Municipal Waste have a pretty good take on it... Definitely some S.O.D. influence and D.R.I. influence here! By Damnation (Los Angeles, CA) This review is for a different format. |
| longer than 17 minutes!!! Art Of Partying buy CD music its great to see an album from such an amazing band that with 16 songs on it, it doesn't come out to be only 17 minutes long, such as Waste 'Em All was or 20 minutes like Hazardous Mutation. although they were both amazing trash albums. this album comes out to about 32 minutes long, so its still short. the longest song on the album is 2:38. now that im done explaining the problems with this album, lets talk about the music. the music is simply brutal, fast, and fun thrash music. as with their other 2 albums, they show how amazing their thrash playing is. also an incredibly live show. there is not a single song on the album that disappoints. if you're a thrash fan then this is a must have, as well as their other 2 albums. it would nice with Slayer's South Of Heaven, Metallica's ... And Justice For All, and Exodus' Bonded By Blood. amazing thrash. also pick up Evile's Enter The Grave. great thrash metal that you must buy. so... ... BUY IT!!! | Best LP I Own This is one hell of an LP picture art is sick old school thrash never sounded better on vinyl. By srbrucker (kcmo) This review is for a different format. |
| Good, friendly, violent fun for all! Believe it or not, there was a time when thrash metal and its various offshoots were actually FUN. Municipal Waste remember those days, and embrace them wholeheartedly. The songs are short and fast, like D.R.I. or S.O. D., chock-full of riffs and grooves (although most of them are pretty brief, before moving on to something else), and the vocals are shouted like Tom Araya's. As you can see, the subject matter is pretty juvenile, but so what? Great music for headbanging, disturbing the peace and destroying property.
