Soundtrack English PSYCHO II: Norman Bates is coming home after being released from the mental institution where he has spent the last 22 years. His plan is to renovate the old Bates Motel, and reopen it for business.
PSYCHO III: Picking up where PSYCHO II left off, the Bates Motel is again the site of some nasty doings as the rehabilitated Norman, who has installed a new ice machine, attempts to put his life back together. Old habits die hard, however, in this sequel marking the directorial debut of Anthony Perkins.
PSYCHO IV: THE BEGINNING: A seemingly rehabilitated Norman Bates is drawn to a late night radio show where the host encourages him to share his views on the topic of matricide, the murder of a mother by her own child. Norman recounts his trials as a young boy living with his widowed schizophrenic mother and also begins to relive and rekindle his killing urge. Psycho II/Psycho III/Psycho IV: The Beginning Movie Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) Good Although this is a good triple feature of the Psycho sequals, it dosn't even come close or compare to how excellent Hitch's masterpiece was in 1960. Hitch created one of the best movies and the best horror movie of all time in 1960 when the famous Psycho was released. Psycho 2 was a good sequal, but didn't really capture the suspence as the first one did. Psycho 3 which was directed by Anthony Perkins was a great film, but still lacked the suspence and the macabre that the classic original had. Psycho 4 allowed you to go deeper into the back-story of Norman Bates, but was unnecessary. Don't get me wrong, these films are great, but they don't compare to what Hitch was able to produce in 1960 as far as the acting and the presentation, aswell as the suspence and horror. Buy this collection and judge for yourself. Submitted by Carlos 33 (L.A California) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
Different from the classic When I first saw them in a rental store I thought the idea of making them out of an 'Alfred Hitchcock' was odd; because he never did that sort of franchise. I only saw them all because I thought it was interesting that they used the same actor. But they were fun to watch. The second one is a really a good film and intense. It's also my favorite because it explains how the set is different from the classic, and how it holds off as its own item. I'm getting them to go their again. Psycho II/Psycho III/Psycho IV: The Beginning video
$21.29 Credited with inventing the genre of the modern horror film, PSYCHO has had its share of sequels and imitators, none of which diminishes the achievement of this shocking and complex horror thriller. Alfred Hitchcock's choreography of elements in PSYCHO is considered so perfect it inspired a shot-by-shot remake by Gus Van Zant in 1998. However, Hitchcock's black-and-white original, featuring Anthony Perkins's haunting characterization of lonely motel keeper Norman Bates, has never been equaled. Bates presides over an out-of-the-way motel under the domineering specter of ...
