(1 Customer Review)
Swedish prog-rockers the Flower Kings have been recording their special brand of music since the early 1990s. Their vibe is pitched somewhere between joyful, jazz-tinged, jam-band freedom and precise, symphonic pop. This extremely thorough (over 150 minutes of music!) two-disc set compiles the best of the band's run so far, and includes a very detailed booklet with band-composed notes about each track.
The first 'Best Of' double album by the leading Swedish progressive rock band. 27 tracks individually compiled and remastered.

$17.49 The ever prolific Roine Stolt brings his Swedish prog-rock monolith the Flower Kings back into the studio for a double-disc outing created around the notion of existence. Light stuff, eh? It is, actually. For those who are wrapped tight in prog rock's knotty, twist-and-turn melodies, quick-change tempos, harmonic extensions, eloquent, guitar pathways that are only topped by keyboard excesses that display acumen and prowess, and glistening production -- and production where it takes eight hours to get ...

The breakthrough success of DARK SIDE OF THE MOON made WISH YOU WERE HERE a crucial follow-up in strictly commercial terms. Further pressure came from it being Pink Floyd's first recording for a new label, Columbia. Yet the demands on the band only provided Roger Waters with more fodder for his lyrics, ...

Road Back Home songs
$11.35 Some albums are easily inviting, while not quite challenging the listener to do anything but bob along. In contrast, System and Station give fans a healthy dose of daring, difficult, and at times perfect pop/rock songs, as is the case with the intricate "Find the Shore," which sounds like a cross between Guided by Voices and At the Drive-In on sedatives. Meanwhile, there are straightforward, elegant pop/rock nuggets such as "When You're the Witness," which mixes moods throughout without much hassle or problems. Although the band seems immersed in indie rock, there are some glimpses of mainstream influences during the haunting, tension-building "I'll See It When I Believe It," which ...

Road Back Home album
$9.29 Them Hills is a band from Nevada City, California. The group is composed of singer/guitarist Dan Elkan, drummer David Torch, and bassist Thaddeus Stoenner. Dan and Thad played together in Northern California bands Pocket for Corduroy and Black Bear in the late nineties. While Thad continued Black Bear and other musical projects based in Nevada City, Dan moved down to Sacramento and made two records (Masculine Drugs / Suicide Squeeze Records & Talk To Your Kids About Gangs / Skin Graft Records) as part of a collective he headed with Zach Hill (Hella, Team Sleep) called Holy Smokes. After spending a few years apart Thad and Dan began to conceptualize a group that would, with the addition of David (who had previously played with notable Reno bands, Crush Story and Vae Victis), eventually become Them Hills. When Dan ...

Road Back Home CD music
$16.45 My vision is to be a dedicated Godly song writer. To bring happiness, joy, peace and understanding to those who embrace my words. The songs are to bring forth a vision of God’s promise. My songs are my prayers, my confessions, my thoughts, my dreams and also a conception of God’s word that has been brought forth through his chosen vessels, his preachers, teachers, and, ministers. How do I praise God? I praise him through my vision. My song is my praise. I remember all that God has promised me, and I know my season will come. My pain, my joy, and my forgiveness reach people in song. My purpose is to touch people’s lives in a significant, glorious way. Through song they can embrace God’s love. If God said it, than it is already done.My passion-which is my mission statement, is to show others God’s love through a forever learning process. No matter if it is through music, book writing, or providing care for others. Where ever God places me in a person life, rather young or old, ...
