Greatest Hits & Now Here's Johnny Cash album for sale Product Description
Greatest Hits & Now Here's Johnny Cash album for sale by Johnny Cash was released Jul 17, 2007 on the Charly label. Johnny Cash wasn't the first singer to walk away from Sam Phillips and Sun Records in search of greener pastures elsewhere, but with the exception of Elvis Presley he was surely the label's greatest loss from a financial standpoint, with Cash remaining a top-selling artist for decades after leaving Sun in 1958. While Cash continued to score major hits with Columbia, Sun scoured their vaults for unreleased or little-heard material on the Man In Black, and 1959's Greatest! and 1961's Now Here's Johnny Cash were two albums Sun compiled from archival material that have been paired up for a two-fer reissue from the U.K. Charly label. Greatest Hits & Now Here's Johnny Cash CD music contains a single disc with 28 songs. ...See Full Description

Billy Bob Thornton Private Radio CD (2001)
Greatest Hits & Now Here's Johnny Cash CD music Like many actors-turned-musicians, many listeners will look at Billy Bob Thornton's debut album, Private Radio, with a smug bewildered condescension, wondering what gives him the right to cut a record. The thing is, Billy Bob, like many other actors that also cut records, played in bands long before he appeared in films. It is true that his celebrity is part of the reason he was given a chance to record, but that long history of playing in bar bands serves him well on Private Radio, giving his voice a ruggedness and musicianship a welcome supplement. Of course, it helps that he's working with producer/co-writer Marty Stuart and has a team of studio veterans supporting him, giving the record a pleasing professional musicality. Private Radio is still Billy Bob's show, and he comes across like a Southern version of Tom Waits crossed with a Byrds-addicted Greg Allman, at times grumbling beat poetry over sparse acoustic guitars, at times slyly delivering roadhouse ravers, folk laments, and anthemic ballads. Sure, it's possible to imagine legions of listeners chortling at lines like "Angelina what's come between us?/Could it be the magic and mystery of love?" and there are other moments that sorta fall flat, either in their earnestness or their poetic jumble. Still, this is a pretty good record all the same, better than most Americana records of the late '90s, thanks in no small part to a terrific stretch of songs mid-record ("Walk of Shame," the rollicking "Smoking in Bed," "Your Blue Shadow," and "That Mountain"), and a good cover of Hank Williams' "Lost Highway." ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Masta Ace Disposable Arts CD (2001)
Greatest Hits & Now Here's Johnny Cash album for sale After a six-year period of disillusionment with the rap game, one-time Juice Crew member Masta Ace returned with this supposed sayonara album that reads like a bittersweet memoir. Though Ace had been active in the underground scene since the release of 1995's Sittin' on Chrome, appearing on a number of singles and contributing memorable verses to various collaborations, the artist's disdain for the industry and disgust with his contemporaries kept him out of the studio for lengthy recording sessions. Feeling that rap's heyday had passed with the deaths of rappers like 2Pac and Biggie, and seeing a media- and market-influenced, watered-down product, Disposable Arts broods with anger, cynicism, and satire for the modern rapper bent purely on trend capitalizing. The paradox here is that Ace himself seems to seek and feels worthy of the same multimillion that he accuses his contemporaries of securing through less-than-artistic means. The burden of underground respect that nets only underground sales seems to be the primary source of Ace's frustration. While smacking of classic player-hate, Ace's response for the Cash Money Millionaires and Roc-A-Fellas of hip-hop is: "the rap game's a book and I read mad chapters/and if you ask me, it ain't enough Madd Rappers." Ace enlists a healthy balance of true schoolers (King T and Greg Nice) and eccentric up-and-comers (Punch, Words, and the delightfully weird MC Paul Barman) for the project. Musically, the album offers anything but the disposable; highlights include the eerie narrative "Take a Walk," the fierce dis record "Acknowledge," and the ingenious "Alphabet Soup," where Ace runs through the alphabet with some witty old-school rhymes. More four-alarm flames light up "Something's Wrong," the psychedelic "Dear Diary," and the thumping homage to the West Coast, "P.T.A.." A knockout punchliner with an airtight flow and delivery, Ace, in the face of everything he hates about hip-hop, turns in his most expansively satisfying work. With 24 strong tracks and only faint signs of misstep, Disposable Arts is tightly wrought thematically, musically, and lyrically, not to mention one heck of a parting shot. Most hip-hop albums of the modern era are lucky to cover even one of these areas. ~ M.F. DiBella

Gary Schutt Playthings CD (2007)
Greatest Hits & Now Here's Johnny Cash buy CD music SOUND BARRIER MAGAZINE & METAL AREA WEBZINE (excerpt) Rating: 10/10 by Nicky Baldrian WOW, some people are full of surprises! This is shit-hot. "Playhings" is the brand new opus from guitar player Gary Schutt whom you may recall played on the first Takara album. Vocally Gary sounds a cross between Fastway, Jeff Scott Soto, Tommy Heart, Stryper and the lead singer dude from XYZ. "In The Middle" is just superb and features a really great bass solo a'la Billy Sheehan, actually thinking of it, this song is Talas and David Lee Roth's "Eat 'em And Smile" played by one guy!!! Phew!! It's only 2 tracks in and I am having so much FUN with this album. "Enemy Lines" see Gary playing backed up by good drum effects, here he sounds like Micheal Sweet from Stryper and the song is very catchy with a brilliant chorus. A HIT!!! Brilliant melodies and foot tapping arrangements. "Sometimes In A Dream" is a gorgeous ballad. "This Might Be The Last Time" is a jaw dropping piano led ballad with big hollow vocals, this is beautiful and will rip you apart! "Animal Man" get things on the heavy side and features some amazing singing and brilliant drumming. Gary Schutt has released to most incredible album of 1999. Everything you hear is bombastic classic eighties hard rock with not a single filler in sight. This is a dangerous album that gets my vote for top album of the year, yup. It's that good!!!!
RATHOLE.
COM review by Scott Bazzett (excerpt) You don't know him yet, but you should. Gary Schutt is a one-man band. Writing, recording and producing the Playthings himself would have been impressive with just a marginal talent in each area, but he's a great rhythm section and an outstanding lead. Creative drum lines and impressive bass licks back up blistering solos and piercing vocals. His only major credit was as the bassist on the first Takara (Jeff Scott Soto) album, but that was clearly a waste of his talents. Gary is an accomplished songwriter, coming up with unique riffs and melodies filled with emotion and energy. As it turns out, he's a pretty great singer though. His voice is perfect for these songs. There was no reason to get anybody else. All the range and power to pull it off. With nothing to loose and nothing to prove, he comes across more sincere than anyone I've heard in a long time

David Hammond Warrior For The King CD (2009)
Greatest Hits & Now Here's Johnny Cash album for sale Growing up in the Church, David Hammond is no stranger to the awesome and amazing power of prayer. He's also no stranger to the wonderful connection that music can make with the soul. And as David demonstrates through his wonderfully energetic, yet empathetic work, the combination of faithful prayer and music is force that cannot be denied.
Over 25 years ago David Hammond began writing music; songs of prayer, praise and community. These songs were simply creations in and of themselves - just sheets of music he kept in his guitar case. Through over 2 decades of life, these songs, and their message, were placed into David's heart and care; waiting for the moment to be released. Now, 27 years later, David has found that time. As these songs went from acoustic sketches to fully-orchestrated works of worship, it is clear that David has been prayerfully patient in the making of this opus. As David describes the process of his new album, "Warrior for the King":
I thank God!for being patient with me to finish what He started so very long ago. I was 26 when these songs were first inspired and captured on paper...and 52 before 'God's timing was right' for this labor of love to come to completion.
And what a completion it is! David's "Warrior for The King" is a gripping, powerful and energetically hopeful series of worship and fellowship. Hammond's powerful voice is the centerpiece of a truly intricate musical work. And with his music, David Hammond certainly seems to be redefining the terms of "Contemporary Christian Music."
David is also a published author and spiritual blogger. You can find his book, Legacies of Valor: Traits of Character at ...
