Described as a sci-fi disco supermarket, the PopMart tour was all trash & kitsch, including a giant mirrorball lemon, a 100 foot cocktail stick - complete with olive, and the works of Lichtenstein, Warhol, and Haring, to a live rock audience. Filmed at the Foro Sol Autodrome in Mexico City on December 3, 1997, this DVD was directed by David Mallet. Audio and video was digitally remastered with a brand new 5.1 surround mix in DTS and Dolby Digital. Since becoming wildly popular in the 1980s, Irish band U2's sound has grown from a raw, soulful rock to a more electronica-tinged, experimental brand of pop. In line with this, U2's stage act has grown into a showcase of lavish special effects, cutting-edge sound, and spectacular multimedia enhancement. POPMART features Bono and the band performing live in Mexico City in support of their 1997 album, POP. Performing 24 old and new tracks, U2 puts on a concert that is a stunning spectacle. U2 - Popmart: Live From Mexico City Reviews: 4 stars out of 5 -- "This exemplary concert video captures both the gaudy splendour of the spectacle and an impassioned performance by the band providing the soundtrack."-- Andrew Mueller, Uncut U2 - Popmart: Live From Mexico City | List Price | $19.98 (You save $9.43) | | Studio | Universal Music & Video Distribution | | Orig Year | 1998 | | All Time Sales Rank | 10488 | | CD Universe Part number | 7441976 | | Catalog number | 000903609 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Sep 18, 2007 | | Rating | Not Rated | | Additional Info | DTS Sound | | Movie Details | Color; DTS Sound |

Great concert finally on DVD I have the VHS version, which is almost worn out, but still viewable. I still can watch this show over & over. The staggering size of this arena tour, with its giant screen, 1/2 of the McDonald's arch & mirrorball big enough to fit the band, was the biggest U2 concert ever. I was fortunate enough to see them when they were in the San Francisco Bay Area and this video captures the energy very well. By the time U2 came to Mexico, their show was polished. There was some talk about the band going on tour too soon and they hadn't had enough time to rehearse the new material. Mexico City was in the latter half of the tour and the band showed no sign of that. Every song is great, with Bono playing the awesome frontman he is. Check out Edge singing "Sunday Bloody Sunday" solo. Sweet. My only complaint is that after having watched Elevation Tour in Boston, Elevation Tour at Slane Castle & Vertigo in Chicago, Popmart seems so graining & slightly out of focus. I'm hoping the DVD version will address that. And hopefully there will be some extras on it. Submitted by samuraihoriuchi (San Francisco, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? U2 Popmart Live From Mexico City (Video version) A fantastic spectacle, its probobly better watching it on tv than it was to actually be there. The sheer size of the stage would surely dwarf the band for anyone there in the flesh but looks simply stunning on screen. My highlights would be Mofo, Even Better Than the Real Thing and Discitheque. My video version was eaten by the VCR so I await this dvd impatiently. Submitted by David (Cork, Ireland) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$22.75 Very few Led Zeppelin performances were caught on camera during the band's life-span, but the footage that has been preserved for posterity is collected on this release. With a running time of over five-and-a-half hours, this is the definitive word on Zep's global stage-straddling performances. The footage is taken from London's Royal Albert Hall in January 1970, London's Earls Court in May 1975, Knebworth in August 1979, and Madison Square Garden in July ...

$8.79 Having proven themselves a magnetic pair in 2003's HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey team up once again as two fun-loving, bickering exes in this action-packed, violent, and sexy treasure hunt. Part romantic comedy, part deep-sea diving adventure, FOOL'S GOLD is set in the beautiful seas and sunny shores of Key West, where Tess (Hudson) and Finn (McConaughey) are set to meet for divorce proceedings. Fed up with Finn's money-squandering lifestyle, Tess can't wait to be rid of him so she can return to the academic pursuits she abandoned seven years earlier, when the two lovebirds embarked on a romantic globe-spanning hunt for rumored treasure. But as fate would have it, Tess just happens to work aboard a yacht owned by Nigel Honeycutt (Donald Sutherland), the same rich man Finn has his sights on as a prospective benefactor for his latest diving debacle. Suspecting this, Tess encourages Nigel to sail off as soon as the divorce papers are in her hands, but their departure is delayed when Nigel's spoiled heiress daughter, Gemma (Alexis Dziena), arrives. Using his sex appeal and daredevil charm, Finn maneuvers his way aboard the ship and into Gemma's heart, not even knowing that Tess, whom he hopes to win back, is also on deck. Once the secret is out, the two must decide whether to part ways or to use a fresh clue to find the treasure they've been seeking for a decade. With Gemma's youthful naiveté, Nigel's aging wisdom, death threats from some villain gangster rappers, treasure hunting competition, and lots of sexual chemistry driving them, the two succumb to the spontaneity that runs through their blood and go for the gold in more ways than one. FOOL'S GOLD boasts lively performances from a solid cast that brings the film's clever, quick humor to life.
