Reinhardt and Shakespeare
Reinhardt's 1935 film version of Shakespeare's "MidSummer Night's Dream" certainly isn't Shakespeare. However, it so captures the essence of characters and magic.77 years laters the film remains a complete joy, and no stage production has ever or can ever rival it. .

Come Be Enchanted
Computer enhancement could not better this movie. Made in 1935, obviously with the help of an actual band of magical sprites, A Midsummer Night's Dream is a dream of a movies If you appreciate Shakespeare and Felix Mendelsohn, a group of famous actors and actresses enjoying their roles tremendously, and laughing at your fellow man, this movie is for you.

A Darker Version.
Past reviewers have failed to mention the glorious ballet sequences in this,the most beautiful film I have ever seen,despite the fact that it's in black-&-white.
