Antologia album
$8.79 That Cape Verde's Césaria Évora is justifiably called the Queen of Morna, the music with the lilting ache, is beyond question; she can convey emotion in a small inflection of her voice. But the woman also known as the Barefoot Diva is just as surefooted on the more up-tempo coladeiras, and both styles are well represented on this compilation, which pulls from several of her albums over an 11-year period. The tracks of real interest, though, are those that have never seen the light of day before, including a new version of her trademark tune, "Sodade," featuring a duet vocal from Angola's Bonga that adds little to her original version. "Fala Pa Fala" takes her more into Afro-Cuban ...

| | Pietro Tonolo Your Songs: The Music Of Elton John CD (2007)
Antologia album
$13.69 Jazz musicians are always seeking relatively unexplored territory, as many standards and established jazz compositions have been recorded far too often. Saxophonist Pietro Tonolo is not the first jazz musician to release a CD of rocker Elton John's compositions, whose music initially seems rather unpromising for improvising. But Tonolo recruited pianist Gil Goldstein, bassist Steve Swallow and Paul Motian for this session and together they have some success. Tonolo sticks to tenor sax for most of the session, with Goldstein doubling on accordion to add some spice ...

Antologia music CDs
$16.45 It’s all about Sarah! Lets start with a little about her life so far. Sarah grew up in Tennessee. While living there, she won the Most Beautiful Voice Award at her school and was also selected for County Chorus multiple times. In 2001 Sarah moved to Chambersburg PA and was one of twelve to be cast in Godspell. Her solo was “Day by Day”. The summer of her freshman year she went down to Tennessee for a church camp and while she was there she recoded a rough karaoke CD in a portable studio in Opry Mills. She brought home the CD and we just did not know what to say. How could she sing that well and what do we do now? So her life went on as normal until on the 16th birthday in 2004 she got her first recording hours in a real studio. She recorded four cover tunes. This was when Sarah decided to make a Demo CD.While working on the demo, which is a mix of Country and Rock, she was also excelling in high school. She was always an honors student who had a real sense of balance between her social and academic life. Now she was also starting to balance her singing career. She started her live performances during this time at small local restaurants and clubs. The demo CD was completed in Jan. of 2006. Sarah graduated in June of 2006. And has been busier than ever. She was accepted to many colleges decided to take some time off in order to pursue her blossoming singing career. She soon got involved with Walt Maddox of the Marcels. She was lucky enough for him to take her under his wing and share his knowledge of the music industry. She has recently finished recording a full ten song Dc including original music as well as re-recoded full band covers the now have a little “Sarah twist” to them. Sarah was also recently a featured artist on FROGGY radio in Pittsburgh and is in negotiations about getting regular ...
