An Evening Of Yes album
$6.39 When Jon Anderson rejoined Yes after DRAMA, he was inserting himself into an unusual situation. Keyboardist Geoff Downes and longtime guitarist Steve Howe had left to form Asia with prog rock vets John Wetton (King Crimson, Roxy Music etc.) and Carl Palmer (ELP). Chris Squire and Alan White brought original Yes keysman Tony Kaye back and recruited vibrant young Australian guitarist/vocalist/composer Trevor Rabin. The quartet had already begun writing and recording, but Anderson was able to insert himself into the proceedings with such ease that the new combination sounds completely natural on 90125.
Mostly, the band was concerned with trimming the musical ...
| | Innocence Mission Now The Day Is Over CD (2004)
An Evening Of Yes CD music
$11.35 This is a nice changeup. The Innocence Mission return with a benefit collection of cover songs that are all centered reverie akin to dreaming. Calling them all lullabies would be stretching a little bit, but the presentations are such that they might as well be. Don and Karen Peris and bassist Mike Bitts craft an absolutely beguiling collection of standards. The readings of "Over the Rainbow," "Wonderful World," and "Moon River" form a gorgeous sequence. The inclusion of an instrumental, Chopin's Prelude in A, is a choice moment as well (played beautifully by Don), and is followed by a haunting, nostalgic version of Michel Legrand's "Once ...

An Evening Of Yes music CDs
$8.05 In the '80s, Jethro Tull was no longer the dominant force on the rock scene they had been throughout much of the previous decade, but the indomitable Ian Anderson continued to make ambitious records based on themes of ages past, even in an era of skinny ties and drum machines. BROADSWORD AND THE BEAST has a marked swords-and-sorcery motif; Anderson is depicted as a winged elfin ...

| | Midnite Jammer Band Lifeline CD (2001)
An Evening Of Yes songs
$11.39 Music Connection Magazine(Southern CA.) Not being the biggest fan of hard rock in the world, I am very impressed when something shows promise. The melody and hook in "Time Of Your Life" did just that. Concentrating on the groups potential could send Midnite Jammer Band on their way. ---Randy Karr Listen.Com Review This band's all set to pump up some adrenalin at a hard rocking stadium. Don't forget to kick back a couple of cold ones in the parking lot beforehand, warming you up for the classic, guitar-driven assault.- Jesse T. Riff Music MagazineStage Feedback - May 2001 - Volume 1 issue 8 Riff Music Magazine - Stage Feedback - May 2001 - Volume 1 issue 8 The Midnite Jammer Band The Midnite Jammer Band played at Rick's Libation Station in Greeley on April 13 and 14 and gave an amazing performance. I was only there for Saturday night, but from the way they were rockin' they must have been awesome on Friday night too. This once California band has recreated itself here in Colorado, the starting place for Dave Murphy. Their Manager said they have been nicknamed the Jammers, an appropriate name for the performance I was at. The lead singer was energized and lively, even though he was getting over having the flu. He had a since of knowing he could belt out the song with clarity and purpose, even not feeling his 100% best. His stage presence was one of comedy and fun. In between songs he would tell jokes and keep the whole bar in an energized mood. The stage was cramped and yet he flowed on it, while dancing to every song the band played. His energy created a full live shove show instead of just a band playing on a stage. The band themselves was smooth and well blended musically and instrumentally. They all played with the energy that the vocalist displayed on stage the whole night. Donnie Pottger on drums, played with a fire that could almost not be contained and made his drumming look as if it were nothing at all. Watching him quickly switch between songs without as much as a notice to the different rhythms and tempos was just awe-inspiring. The lead guitarist / songwriter brought the passion of the band out to the front and helped to drive the rhythms home to the dancers on the floor. He even switched to a double-neck guitar for one song, showing us how skillful he really is. The bass player displayed what it meant to play heavy blues and jazz without effort and still keep the passion burning in the background. Together these members created a rich and enduring remembrance of heavy blues. They are an all-original band and even have one song ready to hit the top 40 charts. The song is called "Find My Way" and is a very beautiful, soft and well-written song. Nice for couples to dance to also Thought the have help from a pianist on their CD, they performed it live that night and it sounded great. They also performed songs from the old band in California. Many people got up and danced to the songs and enjoyed themselves. I can see this band going very far in the music industry. The Jammers have a great energy and clarity in their music and performance. If you have a chance to see the Jammers live, take it. By Tobie Bonahoom Rock ...
