Shortly after 9-11, Morgan, eldest daughter of composer/ songwriter/ record producer Forrest ("Frosty") Lawson, brought home a drawing from school. It highlighted a candle next to a police officer joined by a search and rescue dog going over debris. Alongside the sketch, she had inscribed the words, “THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD IS GOING OUT. WE NEED TO RELIGHT IT. ARE YOU A MATCHSTICK OR A PITCHER OF WATER?” Quite profound words from such a young mind! The image and the caption induced an artistic trance in Lawson who immediately composed a powerful song of patriotism.
