Our StorySacred Intent, is a seven-member group of Christian men who have a strong passion and desire to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through our musical talents. From our previous history with each other through a combination of high school, college, family, and past musical projects, the most significant connections for us was through our relationships with Christ and our mutual membership at Great Light Church and the Christian Institute of the Arts (GLCCIA) in Indianapolis, Indiana. The name, Sacred Intent, was ushered to us by our pastor, Rev. Charles T. Tripp Sr., but surprisingly, this was, at first, a name of an instrumental album that was to be released in 2001. During that time, the album Sacred Intent only had two members who were working to have the idea come to fruition. We did not know God's greater plan at the time so the work and effort on the album continued, but God sought to intertwine our lives with other laborers who shared the same vision. Christ built upon the work He intended, therefore the vision of the name Sacred Intent unfolded more fully and now today it is the name of a group of friends in ministry. Sacred Intent is both an outward banner to the world and an inward reminder to ourselves as to the purpose God has for us. Simply stated, we seek to be Sacred by remaining set apart for God's specific use and our Intent is in always finding our purpose in telling Christ's story.As diverse as our separate dramas were from each other, the themes throughout our lives pointed toward a similar purpose. Our individual conviction to face the demanding reality of truly making God the number one priority in each of our lives drew us closer to Him and to each other.
