Hits: Reloaded album
$8.75 At this stage of her career Mariah Carey does not need to prove herself, but her voice is so powerful that with each new recording she, once again, reminds you: "Listen to what I can do." Vocal gymnastics and Christmas songs are not often thought of as a compatible combination, but on MERRY CHRISTMAS Mariah jumps, climbs, crawls, twirls and dashes her way through both traditional fare and original Christmas songs.
She shifts through styles, offering fans from all musical camps a gift of their own. Her "Silent Night" shows off a studied vocalization where liquid phrasing is key. "Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)" shows off a dynamic voice that is hard to match. She has fun with the Phil Spector goodie "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)," a song straight out of '60s girl-group heaven. There is even a "Joy To The World" medley mixing the old and the new--the traditional Christmas song and the Three Dog Night hit. And, as usual, her gospel-voiced background singers ...
| | Michael Jackson Off The Wall CD (1979) Bonus Tracks; Remastered; Special Edition
Hits: Reloaded CD music
$5.49 OFF THE WALL remaster contains previously unreleased demos and commentary by producer Quincy Jones and songwriter Rod Temperton.
Recorded in Los Angeles, California between 1978 & 1979. Originally released on Epic (35745).
Digitally remastered by Bernie Grundman (Bernie Grundman Mastering, Los Angeles, California).
As the lead singer of the Jackson 5, Michael Jackson had already been labeled a legend at a young age; but OFF THE WALL introduced the world to the adult Michael Jackson, and proved that he was still very much worthy of that label. It was the real beginning for Michael as a solo artist, and opened the doors for his next album THRILLER, which would become the greatest selling album of all time and help foist upon a Jackson a new title: King Of Pop.
Under the supervision ...

| | Clipse Til The Casket Drops CD (2009)
Hits: Reloaded songs
$9.58 Had Clipse made a concerted attempt to outstrip Hell Hath No Fury, Til the Casket Drops would have likely come out sounding like self-parody. The Thorntons' previous set was so cold, lean, and efficient, the product of the circumstances under which it was made, that it is impossible to imagine an album of identical makeup trumping it. So, for the most part, Pusha T and Malice approached their third album -- their first for Columbia -- as a reflection of where they were at when they recorded it. And while nine of its 13 tracks were produced by the Neptunes, who were operating at the top of their game throughout Hell Hath No Fury, the beats here are busier, fuller-sounding, and they mingle well with the productions that come from DJ Khalil and Sean C & LV. In order to be heard over these relatively large-scale productions, ...

Hits: Reloaded songs
$11.65 On pace in 2003 to at least equal his prolific (nearly to a fault) mix-disc output of 2002, Gilles Peterson presents the third installment of his Worldwide series, which once again reflects the breadth of his Radio 1 show. If your three favorite adjectives when it comes to music are soulful, tasteful, and jazzy, Peterson remains your man, and his balance between up-to-date developments and undervalued ...

| | Tim Coffman Crossroads CD (2005)
Hits: Reloaded music CDs
$18.95 The debut recording by Tim Coffman features the J.J. Johnson-inspired trombonist performing jazz standards and a lone original in a sextet, a quartet, and a duet with bassist Kelly Sill ("Alone Together"). The music is modern mainstream hard bop jazz. Few surprises occur and the musicians are not overly distinctive but, on the other hand, each one plays quite well, particularly Mark Colby on tenor. Coffman is a fluent soloist who will eventually find his own voice. For now, Crossroads, which is highlighted by "Yes or No," "Sail Away," Freddie Hubbard's "Sky Dive," and "Alone Together," is an excellent first step. ~ Scott Yanow
Tim Coffman is one of the most active trombonists and teachers in the Chicago area. A graduate of the prestigious Jazz Studies program at Indiana University, Mr. Coffman worked closely with David Baker. He was awarded the Performer's Certificate after his Senior Recital.Mr. Coffman is in demand for studio and show work and has performed with Frank Sinatra, Frank Sinatra, Jr. , Andy Williams, Natalie Cole, Lou Rawls, The Tempatations, Louie Bellson, The Woody Herman Orchestra, Frank Wess, Bassist Ron Carter, Johnny Griffin, Kurt Elling, Von Freeman, Tito Puente, Arturo Sanduval, Tom Harrell, Johnny Mathis, Paul Anka, Al Jarreau, Henry Mancini, Stevie Wonder, Diane Schur, Jimmy Heath, Randy Brecker, Benny Golson, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Joe Lovano, Lennie Niehaus, Slide Hampton and many others.
