Standard Screen; Additional Footage; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack French; Soundtrack Spanish; English Subtitles; DVD Included After a group of hapless National Guard troops fails a training exercise, their commanding officer (Flex Alexander, SNAKES ON A PLANE) orders them to deliver supplies to some scientists in Yuma Flats, New Mexico. The mutants from the first film (the unfortunate victims who live on nuclear testing ground) have returned to terrorize a group of Department of Defense researchers. The unlucky soldiers happen upon the remains of their camp (and its denizens), and the horrors begin. The inbred family of cannibals stalks the soldiers and picks them off, one by one, in gruesome fashion.
Alejandre Aja (HIGH TENSION) directed the 2006 remake, but this sequel replaces Aja with Martin Weisz, whose first feature, ROHTENBERG, was banned in his native Germany. Written by genre master Wes Craven and his son Jonathan, THE HILLS HAVE EYES II is a sequel to the remake of Craven's original 1977 film. It's no coincidence that Craven changed this sequel's victims from a band of motorcyclists to a group of unlucky soldiers, giving the film political undertones. For a brief moment, this film addresses the idea that war may be the worst kind of horror, even when it's judged against mutant cannibals. Unrated Definately a great horror and I have to say that the remake is way better than the orginal part 2. Submitted by Brandon (Pittsburgh,PA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful. This review is for a different format.
awsome love this movie and all the gore. buy this now! Submitted by josh (hell) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
The Hills Have Eyes 2 (UNRATED) This movie is down right disturbing and is the definition of what I would call HORROR. If you saw the first THE HILLS HAVE EYES remake then you can expect the same and more from THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2. The gore factor is insane in this movie and rape scene is difficult to watch, but hey this is an UNRATED HORROR movie so you should expect anything. I'm a horror movie buff and I enjoyed THE HILLS HAVE EYES 1 and 2, but if you're a fan of PG-13 horror movie than this isn't for you. Submitted by PMG (Andover, MA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? No where near as good as its predecessor (remake) Good gore, but subpar acting and screenplay. Dialogue way too stereotypical and cliche. Director might want to stick to music videos. Submitted by Chad (Maryland, U.S.A.) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.

Hills Have Eyes 2 review
$9.69 This frightening remake of the 1979 horror classic from producer Michael Bay (THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE) delves deeper into the supposedly true story of supernatural events that occurred in a Long Island, New York home in the '70s. When George and Kathy Lutz (Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George) come across a beautiful river-front colonial home being sold for a steal, they suspect a catch. Once informed that the home was the site of a grisly mass murder, they decide to buy the house anyway and eagerly move in, bringing with them Kathy's three children from a previous marriage. While no one can deny that the house is rife with spooky sounds, the family members try to put their fears at bay. But over time, strange occurrences start happening, becoming more and more frequent, and these events start to have a transformative effect on several family members. Kathy's daughter starts to act bizarrely, ending up in a variety of life-threatening situations, led by her new, not-so-imaginary friend Jody (one of the children slaughtered in the house years before by her older brother). Likewise, something strange seems to be happening to George. His usually sweet demeanor is replaced with a hostile one, and he starts cruelly taking out his aggression on Kathy's children. Kathy's original assumption that ...

Hills Have Eyes 2 DVD
$9.09 Though it was only a mild success upon its release in 1974, the original BLACK CHRISTMAS (directed by Bob Clark, who would go on to direct A CHRISTMAS STORY in 1984) has become a cult favorite among horror buffs since the dawn of the home-video era. An early example of the "body count" genre, the film also predates WHEN A STRANGER CALLS (1979) in its use of a killer making threatening phone calls that originate within his potential victims' own house. In this remake, writer/director Glen Morgan takes the basics of Roy Moore's screenplay for the original to create an elaborate and almost comically disturbing back story for Billy, the killer who previously remained a mystery. A handful of sorority girls remain at the house after the school shuts down for Christmas break. An ominous snowstorm blows in, isolating them. At the same time, a killer--who in this version escapes from a mental institution to return to his former family home--breaks into the attic and begins making terrifying phone calls to the girls (led by Kate Cassidy, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Lacey Chabert) before killing them off one by one. SCTV veteran Andrea Martin, who portrayed a victim in the original, returns as Ms. Mac, the house mother.
Stylistically, Moore's remake avoids casting the film in the ironic post-SCREAM or streamlined, gore-free Japanese-horror-inspired fright films of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Instead he makes BLACK CHRISTMAS ...

Hills Have Eyes 2 movie DVD
$15.09 Ben Stiller plays Larry Daley, a down-on-his-luck divorced father in this family-friendly tale directed by Shawn Levy (JUST MARRIED, CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN). Larry has lots of ideas and dreams, but none of them come to fruition. In an attempt to prove his stability to his ex-wife (Kim Raver) and his son, Nicky (Jake Cherry), Larry accepts a job as a night guard at the Museum of Natural History. But the elderly night guards who hire him (played by entertainment legends Mickey Rooney, Dick Van Dyke, and Bill Cobbs) fail to mention one crucial detail: when the museum is closed, everything inside comes to life. From Attila the Hun to miniature Roman soldiers, African mammals to Neanderthal men, and Egyptian mummies to dinosaur skeletons, the museum teems with lively activity. Now it's Larry's job to control the mayhem and show his son that he is, indeed, a great man after all.
There might be a moral to this story, which is based on the book of the same name by Milan Trenc, but the screenplay and action remain light and breezy. Stiller is perfect as Larry, particularly in scenes with a sneaky monkey who repeatedly gets the better of him. Brief appearances by Anne Meara (Stiller's real-life mother) and Paul Rudd add to the ...

Hills Have Eyes 2 video
$6.59 Old ladies, ventriloquist dummies, decrepit small-towns, and dolls are all exploited for their full creepy potential in DEAD SILENCE, a relatively innocent but thoroughly scary horror feature from the makers of SAW. After a heavily stylized black-and-white opening credit sequence that shows the story's central ghost, Mary Shaw, constructing her beloved ventriloquist dolls back in her heyday, the film transports viewers to the present. As newlyweds Jamie (Ryan Kwanten) and Lisa Ashen putter lovingly about their apartment far from their hometown of Raven's Fair, it is clear that something bad is about to happen. This dread is only further cemented when a knock on the door leads the lovebirds to discover an unmarked box containing a worn but eerily lifelike ventriloquist's dummy. Lisa is all too friendly towards the doll and gets what's coming to her when Jamie goes out to pick up some takeout, returning to find his wife's mangled body (minus her tongue) propped up like the dummy seemingly responsible for her death.
With detective Jim Lipton (Donnie Wahlberg) on his heels, and a very guilty dummy in his passenger seat, grieving Jamie returns to Raven's Fair with the hunch that his wife's death is linked to the town's murdered ventriloquist, Mary Shaw. Once grand, Raven's Fair is now in a state of decay, and many of its inhabitants have died mysterious and brutal deaths in the years since Jamie was last home. Jamie arrives at his wealthy father's ...

$15.19 Shia LaBeouf (CONSTANTINE, I, ROBOT) is a young talent to be reckoned with, as he demonstrates in this genre-spanning film from director D.J. Caruso. Part teenage romantic comedy, part horror flick, DISTURBIA stars LaBeouf as the troubled Kale, who is confined to his home under house arrest after he punches out his Spanish teacher in the middle of class. Kale's array of available diversions dwindle considerably after his mom (Carrie Ann Moss, MEMENTO) shuts off his X-Box and his i-Tunes, and he turns to voyeurism instead, carefully noting the daily activities ...
