Widescreen; Soundtrack English; English Subtitles; Spanish Subtitles; Remastered; Blue Ray HD-DVD A visual feast combining ancient mysticism, cyberpunk sensibilities, flamboyant entertainment personalities, and gun-toting alien mercenaries. In the 23rd century, Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis), an ex-special forces agent who now practices as a down-and-out cabbie, finds himself caught in a struggle to defy a prophesied Evil from destroying the Earth when a mysterious woman (Milla Jovovich) falls into the back seat of his cab. Pursued by both the government and a powerful magnate enlisted by the forces of Evil (Gary Oldman), the woman is the key to Earth's salvation, known only as the Fifth Element. This was French auteur Besson's first offering with Hollywood backing. Academy Award Nomination: Best Sound Effects Editing. Fifth Element Reviews: "...Besson's comic irreverence is welcome..."
-- Kim Newman, Sight and Sound "...Mr. Besson directs with ceaseless flamboyance and with an obvious enthusiasm for his film's comic book conceits..."
-- Janet Maslin, New York Times "...Luc Besson's kick-ass sci-fi jamboree works as hard as any movie can to ensure that we're completely, maximally entertained..."-- Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly "There's no doubt about it, when it comes to saving the world, Bruce Willis is your man. He does it with smarts and style, humor and courage..."
-- Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times "...Besson's future world is stuffed silly with visual pizzazz..."-- Jonathan Crocker, Total Film "Bruce Willis' taciturn hero and Milla Jovovich's super-femme still hold firm at the heart."

Fifth Element Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Highly Recommended PQ and Sound tour de force! I guess you either hate this film or love it. Me, I love this one. A fast paced, intelligent sci-fi action thrill ride through the galaxy 300 years in the future. Good vs. Evil and it all comes to a head on planet Earth. The characters are vibrant and engaging as is the story line. Now, I can not impress upon you how stunning the PQ is on this Blu-ray disk. True reference PQ. You will not find better than this. Same for the explosive and dynamic sound that will rock your speakers. This is a real treat for the senses and a lot of fun. You have to see and hear it for your self to believe this. Highly Recommended PQ and Sound tour de force! Submitted by Mark (Everett, WA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
Get quality and sound We are very impressed with the quality and sound of this movie. Even though it is 12 years old we enjoyed very much. And CD Universe has a easy system to work with when ordering CD's or DVD's. Submitted by boosocks67 (Montclair, CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Fantastic vocals in the "opera music piece" ..and Bruce Willis as funny and "devillish" as we know him. Gary Oldman is fantastic. And "Lee-Loo"- wow!!!!One of the best sci-fi movies ever. Funny and exciting, and as already said, absolutely fantastic vocalline in the "opera music piece" :-) Submitted by holden (Oslo, Norway) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 0 of 1 found this helpful.
It's a favorite movie -- way out there 'though! It's the wildest futuristic movie ever made. Crazy monsters, goofy looking costumes, but a mixture of a GOD theory and a beautiful singer (DIVA) who actually integrates Opera (Lucia de lamemore) with jazz and has a gorgeous voice. Wonderful love story too -- a great movie. Submitted by ampicob (San Francisco, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
Bruce Willis' finest performance. The 5th Element is destined to become one of the all-time cult classics. Very few movies get the curtain call over and over again - this one is just as entertaining with each and every play. We loved this movie so much that we named our dog "Lee-Loo". $29.79 Based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley, 300 takes over the screen like an invading horde. With all the gushing blood of a horror movie and the scope of a classic epic, the second film from Zack Snyder (who helmed the 2004 remake of DAWN OF THE DEAD) is an impressive visual spectacle. Gerard Butler (THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA) plays Leonidas, the king of ancient Sparta. The city is famous for its warrior philosophy, and Leonidas won't kneel to the demands of Persia's King Xerxes (LOST's Rodrigo Santoro). Instead, Leonidas leads his 300-strong army against Xerxes's army of millions. Meanwhile, his wife (Lena Headley, THE BROTHERS GRIMM) campaigns in Sparta for the city to send reinforcements as she butts heads with the treacherous Theron (Dominic West, THE WIRE).
With its gore and scale, 300 marks director Snyder as a possible successor to Peter Jackson's throne. Jackson also got his start in horror with BAD TASTE and DEAD ALIVE, and ...

$36.45 Director Ridley Scott's hauntingly prescient vision of the not-too-distant future stars Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard, a retired police assassin, or "blade runner." The Los Angeles of 2019 is a dark, polluted, overcrowded dystopia dominated by cloud-piercing buildings and looming neon billboards, the air dense with acid rain and flying traffic. World-weary Deckard has been called out of retirement to liquidate four escaped "replicants"--genetically derived androids of great strength, ...

$33.69 For both comic book fans and those who can't tell the Green Lantern from the Green Arrow, IRON MAN is the type of summer blockbuster whose appeal lasts far beyond the season. Robert Downey Jr. stars as Tony Stark, a billionaire playboy and genius who puts as much effort into chasing skirts as he puts into chasing his next big idea. A trip to Afghanistan to sell weapons quickly devolves into chaos, and Stark finds himself at the mercy of a warlord who wants him to build a missile. Instead, Stark creates a powerful suit of armor, turning him into Iron Man and allowing him to escape. When he returns to America, his assistant Pepper Pots (Gwyneth Paltrow), friend Rhodey (Terrence Howard), and right-hand man Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges) all marvel at the change in the man they knew.

Fifth Element movie DVD
$22.79 Director Oliver Stone chalks up an ambitious entry on his biopic résumé (past entries include films about Jim Morrison, Richard Nixon, and JFK, among others) with this cinematic treatise on the life of the mighty Alexander the Great. Despite his early death at 32, Alexander packed some unimaginable conquests into his limited years, ruling over a huge chunk of the globe. Stone draws on a voice-over narration provided by Anthony Hopkins, in the character of Ptolemy, one of Alexander's generals, to describe some of the battles. Thus, Stone shifts the weight of the film to focus on the personality of Alexander (Colin Farrell), a man who is stricken by overwhelming personal insecurities that contrast with his bold achievements. Complex dealings with his mother (Angelina Jolie) and father (Val Kilmer) plague him, as does his turbulent relationship with his wife, Roxane (Rosario Dawson). His connection with his best friend, Hephaestion (Jared Leto), is ambiguous, ...
