Elder Johnson is no newcomer to the music business or to the church. Music became an intregal part of his life while attending high school in South Florida. Since committing his life to the Lord in 1987 Elder Johnson has been called into the ministry and for the past eight years has served as the Senior Pastor of the New Hope M.B.C. of Hollywood, FL. A single entitled "Solid Rock" (recorded on the "Gifts of Praise" C.D. in 1995 with the New Birth Baptist Church) launched Elder Johnson into a solo career. In 1997 Connail Released "I Heard The Voice" which included the hit single "God In My Corner", a popular wedding song which still receives airplay today. This new composition of gospel music transcends generational, ratial & cultural barriars. This is mama's gospel but gospel on the edge as well. It has two sides to the coin. Melodic and motivating. This project swings you back and forth from Grandma's living room to riveting rock guitar rifts. From male quartet introductions to Raw, Ripping Raps. One moment you want to cuddle with your significant other, the next you want to call your Mama. You want to know what this project sounds like? Deon was born on May 8, 1986 to a loving mother in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was primed to become a singer at a young age as he travelled throughout the nation with his family's group, The Fantastic GoldenAires. At the age of three, Deon could be heard singing with his family at rehearsals and various events. By the age of thirteen, Deon began to sing backup for numerous artists that came to the area. Because Deon wanted to do explore other options in the musical arena, he began to write and arrange his own music. Within months, Deon was signed to a management company and released his first single, 'Wonderful'. Because this single was so popular, Deon immediately released a follow-up single entitled 'You Can't Mess With Me Satan'. Local radio stations immediately began to play his singles which afforded Deon the opportunity to market his product regionally. Since his humble beginning, Deon has reached several milestones in his career. In the Fall of 2004, Deon released his self-titled debut project. This album was well-received by everyone. In 2005, Deon took part in a showcase to benefit the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. He won second place for musical skills. In 2006, Deon recorded a rendition of Sam Cooke's 'A Change Gone Come'. Tracy began singing at the tender age of 2 and a half at her grandfathers' church. At age 13, she formed her own group 'Tracy and the Melodies' which consisted of three back-up singers. Tracy and the Melodies traveled extensively every weekend across the East Coast appearing on live radio broadcasts and making television appearances. Tracy wrote and arranged all of the songs that the group performed. In 1984, Tracy joined Rev. Ernest Davis Jr.'s Wilmington Chester Mass Choir where she became a lead singer and recorded on several albums. During this season, Tracy was featured on several albums as the lead singer. Tracy could be heard belting out notes on tunes such as: 'If I Ever Needed The Lord Before', 'Just Like That', 'All Is Well', 'Over There', and 'He'll Give You Peace'. In 1989, Tracy became a background vocalist for Tramaine Hawkins, which was her first experienced tour outside of the United States, Bahamas and London. In 1991, Tracy began touring with the renowned Billy Paul (Me and Mrs. Jones) in the secular arena where she traveled South America, Brazil and Japan several times a year. Also, in the secular arena, she has shared the same stage with Earth Wind & Fire, Foreigners, Lou Rawls, Deneice Williams, Patti LaBelle, Jennifer Holliday, and Peabo Bryson.
