| | Bring Back Pluto Nine CD Bring Back Pluto Discography of CDs
Tim Lefebvre from the Wayne Krantz band says, "I love this CD! Very retro and cool! These guys can really lay down the funk. Great Playing!""Bring Back Pluto" was formed in the summer of 2006 as a way of releasing some of the funk demons that had been lurking in its three members. Mark Jodice trades in his big hollow for a strat and lets it rip throughout. Jerry Wilfong drops the dog house for a pork chop, while Sai Ghose plays hooky from the land of black and white and lays down the groove underneath. The trio's roots are broad, ranging from funk to heavy metal. But they also bring their jazz sensibilities, seasoned on stages across the country from Yoshi's in Oakland, to Sculler's in Boston, to bring you a truly original guitar trio. You can also hear Jodice, Ghose and Wilfong on their latest jazz recording, "New Blood," released in 2006. Available under Sai Ghose Quartet right here on CD Baby. $13.89 If you have been waiting for a sound that is innovative and eclectic - it's R&B...it's Hip Hop...it's Soul...it's pop - yet savvy enough to ride the waves of popular radio, look no further. This is a dynamic artist in touch with modern culture, carrying real life stories and messages that will impact those who encounter it. The soulful sound of L.A. native singer/songwriter/producer Ajamu (Ah-jahmu) has been steadily capturing the attention of a wide range of music enthusiasts. From love songs all the way to up-tempo club beats, Ajamu has a style all his own. “I just sing from my soul, so you have no choice but to feel the music,” states the twenty-eight year old crooner. Ajamu grew up the youngest of three children. As a kid he had to entertain himself often. He found that entertainment and love in music. “He would go around the house all day singing songs”, says his mother. She remembered the first performance Ajamu ever gave, which was private concert just for her. Holding a wooden spoon, Ajamu sang every song of the “Never Too Much” album from Luther Vandross. She knew then that he had the talent to entertain many.As Ajamu entered high school he honed his performance skills. Just a freshman, he was chosen to sing the Black National Anthem in front of the entire school for Black History Month. “Of course I was nervous, but once I started it was cool, and I’ve been hooked ever since.”The name Ajamu is Nigerian and means, “fight for what you want.” Creating great music is all Ajamu wants to do. Being influenced by great artists such as Stevie ...

Nine CD music
$13.15 Inspired by his Blues singer Uncle, "Sonny Green", a well known musician from Louisiana, Sonnyboy began to explore the music of the blues tradition. It took moving to Minneapolis, MN with only his guitar and the clothes on his back for Sonnyboy to throw himself fully into exploring the forbidden "devil music" of Funk, Reggae, Rock and Hip Hop, prevalent in "Paisley" music scene. After a few months busking the streets of downtown Minneapolis, Sonnyboy quickly earned a reputation as an exceptional musician which paved the way for his acceptance into the Minneapolis music scene. He began working with artist's under the Paisley Park label, The Parliament Funkadelic Family, as well Mary Harris of Spearhead and countless other Artists. Sonnyboy has shared the Stage with The Black Crows, The Skatalights and performed at venues as prestige's as the world fames Paisley Park Studios. Sonnyboy soon immersed himself in a full Hip Hop Hippie and blues music lifestyle which put him on a fast and at times dangerous track. Cheating death in a near fatal car crash he found himself back on the streets where he started. ...
