| | Otis Blackwell Legendary Legend CD Otis Blackwell Discography of CDs
It has been widely reported that Otis Blackwell penned songs that sold over 185 million records. Even in today's overly inflationary environment the figure seems staggering.Otis wrote songs like no one else. He pulled the artists who recorded them toward him not the other way around. His songs are as distinctive as Phil Spector's productions and less predictable than the Lieber and Stoller classics. Quite simply his best songs are about youthful explosive sexual images. Elvis Presley sounded like Otis. Otis was a black northerner reaching toward country music while Elvis was a white southerner reaching for three separate, black music art forms. When these two were coupled on vinyl the world literally shook.Otis was a talented record producer and had a keen eye for talent. His classic recording of "Don't Let Go" with Roy Hamilton also Jimmy Jones on "Handyman" and "Good Timin" are the most successful examples. He was the first to record Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons and Johnny Rivers. I once asked him what he considered his greatest accomplishment, "Producing a Mahaila Jackson Album."What kind of person was Otis? Complex. Small in stature but hugely funny. Haunted by fire breathing demons he attempted to excise through alcohol. Obviously there were several campfires of dispair burning in his soul. Through I was a close friend, I do not claim to be able to dissect the different sources of hurt. They were real to him, emotional rather than chemical, personal rather than racial. He saw the world in fairly real terms. What he was unable to do at least in his younger years, was to comfortably fit in without inner pain. Much of his problems had to do with the IRS and so called professionals who made his life a mess Otis Blackwell Legendary Legend Songs | 1. | Fever |

Legendary Legend album
$12.29 BY A THREAD is Gov't Mule's first studio album since HIGH & MIGHTY was issued in 2006. Since that time, bassist Andy Hess has been replaced by Jorgen Carlsson, though Hess appears on two tracks at the end of the album. Carlsson's playing style is much more aggressive than Hess', and is therefore closer - in spirit anyway - to Gov't Mule's original bassist, the late Allen Woody, though he possesses an adventurous sense of time and is harmonically more colorful than either Woody or Hess. Carlsson and drummer Matt Abst are a solid match, since Abst is a drummer used to shifting time signatures and allowing the unexpected in while still driving a band. The band's keyboardist and rhythm guitarist, Danny Louis, is a shape-shifter, playing to whatever ...

Legendary Legend CD music
$16.45 Tony Spada is best known for being the creative force and one of the founding members of the American prog rock group ' HOLDING PATTERN '. Tony Spada is a masterfulguitarist, balancing advanced technique with a diversity of styles, from solo classical guitar to power trio rock, into intricately textured ensemble pieces. Holding Pattern's firstalbum was released in 1981 this instrumental powerhouse that combined the best of Happy The Man, Yes and Steve Hackett. And a healthy dose of American jazz rock fusion like Return to Forever and Dixie Dregs to name a few. In summary a jem from the early 80's that all fans of 70's progressive rock will surely love. Holding Pattern's first attempt at adding vocals came with the song Mercenary, sung by Tony himself, was released as a single and video in 1983. The video received airplay on MTV and USA Networks "Night Flight" program. 1986's release of Radio Safe was an attempt at a more commercial course, but eventually it resulted in a band with split ambitions. Things began to change for the better and Tony was approached by California label Art Sublime who expressed interest in re-releasing the bands first album in a retrospective CD. The album was released with no less than 10 bonus tracks in 1991.Most of the bonus tracks on Majestic were from the original instrumental incarnation of Holding Pattern. Several are live performances and video soundtracks. Also included were two new Spada songs Majestic and Iraqiroll which were written exclusively for this album. They were a sign of the new direction he was starting to take. Holding Pattern had changed to the point where he felt it necessary to do a solo album to return to the music he really wanted to play. Balance Of Power was released by Art Sublime in late 1993. Spada's first solo album was instrumental except for one song. It is an unrepentant progressive rock album, it's nine songs span a huge diversity of styles from solo pieces to grand symphonic rock. Throughout the rest of the 90's Tony Spada would be performing solo shows and concertizing with Steve Morse , Rick Wakeman, Kansas and Steve Howe to name a few.Over the years he has built a loyal following ...
| | Joey Group Gaydos On Display CD (2006)
Legendary Legend music CDs
$12.69 The Joey Gaydos Group, fronted by âSchool of Rockâ star and guitar prodigy Joey Gaydos Jr., has released its debut full-length effort On Display, 11 original tracks of raw rock ânâ roll power. The disc was recorded at Rock City Studios in Ann Arbor MI. last December, and the sessions were produced by Gaydos, Joe Gaydos Sr. and Rock City engineer Pete Bankert. The album, which follows Gaydosâ 2004 self-titled solo record, is the first to feature bassist Jonathan Redmond and drummer Nick Brandon. The talents of this team now come to fruition with On Display. Legendary Legend album
$16.45 Ho-Ag played their first show on May 25, 2002 at the Midway in Jamaica Plain with the Young Sexy Assassins, Tunnel of Love, and Usaisamonster. They began their career with a cover of the old HBO movie intro theme song and later tried to sell their demo ("The Meteor Is a Decoy") to people at the show. They have now been playing shows for nearly three years at rock clubs, converted industrial warehouses, dank basements, wine-drinking art parties, middle-of-nowhere Christmas tree farms and woodsy backyard tool sheds.Begun as a streamlined four-piece by vocalist/guitarist Matt Parish, bassist Dave Dines, and guitarist Patrick Kim, Ho-Ag released its first album, Ho Ag Equals Go At, in 2003. Declared both a âprimal and modernly dementedâ and âan off-balance charge of invigorated rockâ ...
