| Back To The Rhythm Music Review Average Rating: (4.1 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews THEY ARE BACK!!!!! Seven years after the last release of "Can't Get There From Here", Great White is back with this incredible release. You get a little bit of everything with this release. Rockin tunes, Bluesy tunes, and Ballads. These guys are top notch song writers and musicians. Highly recommended. Take Me Down is the highlight track for me. Back To The Livin'!! One of my all time favourite albums is "Once Bitten".
"Back To The Rhythm" is good. Maybe better than good. But it's just a bit heavy on the ballads. I'd like to have heard more uptempo tracks like the title track. Don't get me wrong. This is a great comeback album. I'd just like a few more rockers on the next one!!

QUALITY ROCKIN'....AS USUAL Do you like Great White? Uh-Huh? Well then, purchase this cd. Original members, original sound. This is one great cd. I've listened to these guys from the beginning(Way before the 'hair band' period), and I consider this one of their best efforts. This thing has been in the cd player in my car for 2 WEEKS!! Keep it up guys!!! Submitted by JOHN (TEXARKANA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
BACK TO THE RHYTHM I'm a huge GW fan but this is short of their best stuff. "Play On" and "Back to the rhythm" are good and very close to their versions on the live release "thank you and goodnight". Track 2 is probably the best track(very catchy) and track 5 is good but does sound like "maybe someday" in places. After track 5, I feel the song quality tapers off more than most GW records which is dissapointing. Either way, theres still some good songs here and I'll take any GW after 7 or 8 years. They are "Back to the Rhythm" and still Rockin' As always, Great White never fails put out another fantastic album! For those of you that have been fortunate enough to see them live, you know that they sound even better in person...what you hear on the disc is what you get in person, which is a rarity these days in music. Great White is one of the best rock n' roll bands on the planet in my opinion. Submitted by Katherine (Bella Vista, AR, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Purchase Back To The Rhythm CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Def Leppard Yeah! CD (2006)
Back To The Rhythm
$12.59 Riding a wave of renewed popularity that began with 2005's well-received ROCK OF AGES retrospective, Def Leppard released YEAH! the following year. Rather than issuing new original material, however, the U.K. group opted to record a set of songs by its late-1960s/early-'70s British (and, in one case, U.S.) rock precursors, effectively going back to its roots. As the lighthearted liner notes and humorous accompanying photos (featuring each band member inserted into a different ...
| | Quiet Riot Rehab CD (2006)
Back To The Rhythm
$13.85 It's become increasingly difficult to keep track of all the different lineup switches that have occurred in Quiet Riot over the years, with the speed of guitarists and bassists coming and going only increasing by the early 21st century. As of their 2006 release, Rehab, the most familiar bandmembers include singer Kevin DuBrow and drummer Frankie Banali, who are now joined by guitarist Neil Citron and bassist Tony Franklin. Despite the constant lineup fluctuation, the group's anthemic, party hearty metal style still remains. Album opener "Free" shows that DuBrow's voice still sounds identical to the group's Metal Health days, "South of Heaven" has an unmistakable Zeppelin-esque flair, while ex-Deep Purple ...
| | Great White Recover CDs (2002) Deluxe Edition
Back To The Rhythm
$10.79 Seemingly since the dawn of time, countless veteran rock artists have issued an album's worth of cover songs at some point during their career. And in 1989, everyone's favorite Zep influenced hair metallists, Great White (who at that point were at the peak of their popularity), laid down an album's worth of cover tunes. Instead of trying to immediately cash in on the success of "Once Bitten, Twice Shy," these recordings were shelved -- until 2007, with the release of the double-disc, 25-track, "Deluxe Edition" set Recover. As with the vast majority of these all-covers sets, only the most diehard of Great White fans will need to hear the group "rock" out to lightweight readings of the Cult's "Love Removal Machine," AC/DC's "Sin City," or a bluesy -- and two-thirds acoustic -- Rolling Stones medley (which includes "Bitch," "It's Only Rock and Roll," and "Women"). The second disc includes new recordings of such Great White favorites as the aforementioned "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" and "Rock Me," as well as a reading of Van Halen's "Unchained," which sees Great White singer Jack Russell do battle with Dweezil Zappa. The inclusion of five (!)Zep covers that close the set will only confirm the claim that Great White was a Led Zep clone once and for all. Great White fanatics will appreciate Recover. Everyone else should stick with the far superior original versions. ~ Greg Prato
