| | Pete Hills Come Home CD Pete Hills Discography of CDs
This singer/songwriter from Cheltenham, England is passionate about music and understands its ability to change the atmosphere of a room instantly and that it can bring people together and often bypasses the intellect and go straight to the heart. Pete's writing is straight from the heart as he attempts to address real issues in real people's lives. He wants to challenge people about the way they live their lives and to look further than what they can see before them to search for a greater meaning than perhaps just working nine to five. Purchase Come Home CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Glee Cast Glee: The Music, Vol. 2 CD (2009) Original Soundtrack
Come Home album
$9.58 The second Glee soundtrack throws a bone to the show's supporting characters, with Jenna Ushkowitz (the faux-stuttering Tina) singing her first solo and Amber Riley (Mercedes) receiving a larger chunk of airtime. Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison continue to steal the show, though; Morrison delivers one of the album's most inventive songs with a mash-up of "Don't Stand So Close to Me" and "Young Girl," while Michele sings the absolute pants off of everything the producers give her. The album sometimes strays away from choral arrangements and focuses on individual actors, but it's hard ...

| | Tim Wilson Super Bad Sounds Of The '70S CD (2003)
Come Home music CDs
$5.19 Country comedian Tim Wilson is at pains to explain that this concept record differs from his previous efforts, which mixed standup comedy with country-styled novelty songs. Here, he has constructed a parody of the television program Soul Train, dating back to the 1970s, complete with songs arranged to sound like Gamble & Huff soul records, commercials, and an announcer, "Corny Donelius," meant to ape Soul Train host Don Cornelius. Wilson, whose humor has had racist elements, is careful to print a disclaimer in the CD booklet in which he protests his affection for soul. "I take this music as seriously as I do the National Anthem and at no time have I approached this project disrespectfully in terms of the music or the culture from which that great music came," he writes solemnly. Indeed, the music itself, played by the Muscle Shoals session band, closely parallels the soul music of the period (as you can tell from ...

| | Greyskull Pretty In Ink EP CD (2007)
Come Home album

Rooted in melodic punk rock and old renegade country, GREYSKULL are influenced by the great bands and artists before them like Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Chris LeDoux, Ramones and Jerry Jeff Walker. With the addition of Robbie Estill on drums, GREYSKULL recorded their first EP in the fall of 2002. 'Better Off Dead' is five raw, punk rock songs chock-full of energy and potential. GREYSKULL followed up 'Better Off Dead' with their first full-length album, 'State of Ruckus', and put it out themselves in the summer of 2004. The full-length is made up of GREYSKULL's catchy choruses and powerful guitar rifts. In January of 2007, GREYSKULL released a brand ...
| | Jon Itkin Big Gold Guitar In The Sky CD (2007)
Come Home CD music
$13.15 "It's titled 'Ten-Pack of Years' (as in 'what the hell's a decade but a...), and it's hit me harder than any song I've crossed paths with in '08. The opening couplet -"We used to make love out in the back lawn/Now we're eating dinner with the TV on"- expresses a ten-year ache that the young guy behind the song, Brooklyn-based Jon Itkin, couldn't possibly have faced unless he got hitched when he was 15. Later, after a night of recollection and Nebraska, the protagonist's recurring, wife-directed declaration 'I remember you' becomes filled with the cautious joy of rediscovery. Itkin's voice, old for its age and backed by mournful pedal steel, sells it all: the despair, the search, and the hope. Elsewhre, Itkin deftly swings ('American Blood'), trucks ('Bismarck'), and soothes ('Sing Rosetta'). He's far from the first singer-songwriter/roots-rocker whose songs pray to Neil Young, Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle and Jay Farrar. Not all prayers are answered with such promise."-Rick Cornell, No Depression"Before denim went Hollywood and Third World children bloodied their little knuckles wearing out the knees on new jeans so you'd look like you actually did something in them, they were the threads of the working man. Jon Itkin's music is of this denim and wood and wire, and the rust and wear that ensues. Living in Oregon now, this Rochester ex-pat's songs are as lonesome and big sky beautiful as a McMurtry novel. His music speaks of long-gone frontiers and will stop you in your tracks. Damn, this guy is good. It's a cryin' shame ...
