RON GAISER / Singer - Songwriter - Guitar - Keyboards / was born into a family of writers, musicians, actors and composer where his love for music and drama came naturally to him. At the age of 5 he was singing in the church choir with his mother. All through school he played in bands and performed in musicals, Community Theater and resturaunts. His earliest influences were Andres Segovia, Carlos Montoya, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Doors, The Band, Eric Clapton, BB King, and Johnny Winters. In his teens he played guitar and sang with Bo Diddly, Andy Kahn, Captain Beef heart, and Richard Hyte. He received his formal training at UCLA School of Fine Arts, majoring in Theater Arts with a minor in music. Out of school he formed his own show band 'Slow Dazzle', complete with Belly Dancers and famed horn man Vinny Dento. With their home base in Newport Beach, they played a very eclectic blend of original soul rock with international eastern flavors while traveling from Mexico to Santa Barbara along the California coast. The band was an opening Act and played with such notables as, Phoebe Snow, Loggins & Massina, Talking Heads, Donavan, Tom Green and The Rolling Coasters. Disillusioned with Disco, Ron got bit by the country bug while working as a ranch hand riding fence and caring for 33 Arabian horses. Continuously listening to Merle Hagard, Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, George Strait, Waylon Jennings and later Garth Brooks and Montgomery Gentry, he started writing country songs while playing the western circuit in casinos and fairs with country bands the likes of; The Dale Hustler Band, Waylon Jennings, and Tony Owens. Country music took him to Texas, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada and back to California ending in Bakersfield's Crystal Palace, and meeting Buck Owens. He then formed his own band 'Durango' playing all Ron's own country originals. Durango has a large local and western states fan base. He is a published songwriter and ASCAP member. His songs and CDs have received national acclaim and worldwide airplay. He has a diversified taste in music and has written for film and television. He is currently adapting for the Broadway Stage, a musical based on the twice filmed hit movie, 'FUN WITH DICK & JANE', originally written by his father, successful screenwriter GERALD GAISER, who loved and wrote Westerns. This CD, Durango: 'Stayin On Track' was Durango's first Demo that launched Ron's songs into national and international air play with much acclaim. He presently resides in Mandalay Beach, California where he is working on his next CD, 'California Country.' Durango Featuring Ron Gaiser Stayin' On Track Songs | 1. | My Hat |

His songs are vignettes from the heart, observations from the mind."Jon Chandler / JMC Music Group'Singing, writing and sharing music-it's in his blood, !the restless western feel of it.'Julie Hutchinson, Denver Post"His style is pure Texas...."Pete Smith, Rock Pile/Country Music Roundup, BritainOnstage or on-the-air, Jim Stricklan brings the soul of the southwest vibrantly alive. Like great paintings, Jim's songs are vivid stories of life and love in his homeland-the Great American Southwest. A master storyteller of the airwaves, Jim's warm baritone enhances the flow of his radio shows with sincerity and charm. Jim's love of music as a teen led him down the twin paths of performance and radio that would feed each other to enrich his art for decades to come. While entertaining thousands of radio listeners in Denver, Houston, Shreveport and Austin, this self-taught guitarist of front rooms and back yards grew into the craft of performing songwriter in U.S. coffeehouses and clubs. Not content to be an award-winning radio personality, Jim has continued writing, recording, and performing his songs for live audiences across the country. Jim's roots hearken back to a time when Roy, Gene, and Hoppy rode the range to the delight of many a young cowboy and cowgirl. Well, maybe it wasn't the old west, but it sure enough was the real west; real enough to spark the imaginations of millions of American kids for more than a century. As a pint-size cowboy-in his boots and pearl-handled six guns-Jim strummed his guitar underneath the big Texas sky, as the Pecos River rolled lazily along. Jim and his architect wife Leslie moved to Austin in 1990, so that he could take his music to the next level, and besides!Larry ...

Stayin' On Track CD music
$14.79 Dear Fan/Friends, Here I go again, having captured some "sonic snapshots" of a dozen new songs that I've enjoyed performing and recording, in hopes that you'll enjoy listening to them... The High Road is quite a variety pack of music, blending different styles of music; mixing six new original songs with six tried and true standards... I feel it exposes my deep country roots, with tributes to musical legends Patsy Cline, Kris Kristofferson, Don Gibson, Cindy Walker and Floyd Cramer. It also includes a commissioned original song, Fallen Brother, about an Oregon firefighter and modern day folk hero, Randy Carpenter.Biography:Lindy grew up in the small town of Heppner in Eastern Oregon, where the landscape was as broad and open as Texas. "It was cowboys and ranchers, and the big deal of the year was the rodeo." Her parents owned Heppner's popular Wagon Wheel Cafe. For entertainment at the Wagon Wheel, Lindy's father led her brothers and sisters in a country and western band, performing songs by Hank Williams, Buck Owens and Patsy Cline. Lindy made her debut as a performer at the age of three, when her father brought her onstage for a nightly solo."Our house was a short walk away," Lindy recalls. "They'd bring me out to sing and then Mom would ...
