Stacy Williams Stability CD

Stacy has been singing for mostly all of her life. As a child, Stacy enjoyed listening to music greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, and Roberta Flack. For playtime she would sing around the house with her mother. By the age of 5, Stacy performed in front of her first large audience at a church event. Stacy continued singing as a hobby and later caught the attention of Sylvia Moy by age 13. Mrs. Moy, having written many of Stevie Wonders earlier hits, urged Stacy into auditioning for a grant offered by the city of Detroit. The young artist showed off her vocal talents and won a position in a master vocal class, which ended up be taught Sylvia Moy.Stacy would continue honing her talents by joining many bands and choirs. In the 90’s, she was seen performing around Detroit at many of its clubs like the renowned jazz club Floods, The Warehouse, and the upscale Detroit Renaissance Club.The recording industry eventually became the next step when she performed with “Detroit Vie”. The female acapella group recorded background vocals on various projects; the most note worthy being that of the early house group “Inner City”. Later Stacy would take the lead vocals when she would team up with up-and-coming producer BJ Robinson. Together they formed the beginnings of Mid-level, a collaborative-based group responsible for turning out the timeless dance hit Player’s Groove, which would receive airplay on the Detroit airways.Stacy continues to entertain the public today with her first solo release of her EP album “Stability” which is a Pop/R&B release that packs a soulful punch.
