| Kenton for Everyone Loved the stereo tracks, brought out the best of the band. The monaural tracks were a true reflection of the music of Stan and the regard of him by the members of the band. I just love listening to the music of Stan Kenton! By htiek.fothergill (Guernsey, Channel Islands) |
| A great Kenton live concert! As most Kenton die-hard fans know, his bands from the 1950's contained the greatest soloists in Jazz. This particular group was one of the best in Stan's long and colorful career. The arrangements and the arrangers were tops in their field as well. The program is a good mix of tunes, giving the 'stars' room to stretch out. Let's hope more material from this period will surface. Kenton never had more swinging bands than this! By jimgoughmrtexas (Austin,TX,USA) |
