Contes Libertins music CDs
$16.45 David Ford has been singing most of his life. As a young child in Memphis, he entertained his Mom with imitations of Elvis. The public school system and church choir provided his most formal vocal instruction. Music was always encouraged around his home. His Dad played clarinet and had a great collection of big band records. Some of the songs he enjoys performing now were on those records. As with a lot of guys his age, he was in a rock/soul band in high school that rehearsed diligently but only actually played two parties.During college he began hanging out with a lot of local blues musicians, learning a lot about the music and other things. After some time, he followed the natural progression into jazz. He was fortunate to have met and worked with some really great musicians during these years. He moved to North Hollywood in 1984, and though he was no longer performing, his musical education continued through musicians performing in Toluca Lake, North Hollywood, and Van Nuys. He also took some music theory classes at Dick Grove School of Music. This continued for quite some time and he was reportedly spotted in some karaoke bars. While bartending at The City Club in Santa Clarita, CA in '94, he began singing with some of the entertainers working ...

Contes Libertins songs
$12.69 Album available for download @ iTunes & luvnotez Appolonia - Born in Birmingham, UK, of Jamaican Parents, currently living in Dublin, Ireland.Appolonia is a singer/songwriter, Pat Donne (from Dublin, Ireland, based at Sun Studios, Temple Bar, Dublin) is the producer and arranger for all the tracks. Appolonia has been writing poems since she could write. It was only in 1997 that she started to set the poems to music, after attending a jamming session with local musicians. In 2004 Appolonia re-located to Dublin, she went to Sun Studios to record some of the songs, with the intention of producing a demo CD to showcase her writing. When Pat Donne produced the first track, Appolonia became hooked. Appolonia:I didn't really know what to expect, but when I heard 'I know' (the first song recorded) I knew I wanted to record more and I wanted Pat to produce them. It was a trip. That's when I knew that I wanted to be a singer/songwriter. I write when the feeling takes me, usually the melody comes when I write. I don't have a favourite artist because there are so many that I love and it really depends on what mood I'm in. That's why I can't really say I'm a Soul artist or R&B artist because when I write I'm not always in a Soul mood. I have days where only 'The Prodigy' will do, and sometimes I can't wait to get home to have my ears massaged by 'D'Angelo'. If I need cheering up 'Floetry' come to the rescue and I practice my vocals with 'Omar'. On days ...

| | Mega8Ball 888 CD (2009)
Contes Libertins songs
$12.69 Long before it was popular in the U.S. Mega8Ball has been creating new sounds blending rock and rap. In Japan, the wonderful yet musically-risk-adverse island nation that it is, new musical styles are tough to sell. Mega8Ball therefore has had a slower rise than they deserve. Time however, has only strengthened their musical prowess, and now they are getting noticed! This mini-album, 888, released (August 8th, 2008), is a focused effort on breaking further barriers and melding musical influences. Don't believe any musical stones are left unturned? Well, let me ask you! what would a mix of Social Distortion, Rage Against the Machine, Sublime, and and Linkin Park sound like? The answer is Mega8Ball's 888!'Jason' tells the tragic tale of a seemingly lost soul. Starting slow and ominous with ...
