KELLENNY - BiographyBorn on the east coast of the United States, in June of 1972, from vietnamese, african-american descent, this inspiring songwriter grew up (years at a time), in places such as Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Okinawa (Japan), and Pennsylvania. Thus, bringing him to many historical, yet beautiful cities throughout Germany and Europe. This musician served many years, active duty in the U.S. Army, as a communications specialist. After a memory-filled, yet dramatic, time in 'B.D.U.'s' (which lasted through the duration of the first Iraq-Kuwait conflict), Kellenny gained a lot more respect for human qualities, and was then introduced to the european way of life. Music, which he considers 'the most-underrated international language on earth' (besides love, of course), was one of several avenues of approach (again, besides love, of course, haha!). And although, there are many differences between 'american culture' and 'european culture', it became very clear and evident to him that the 'world of similarities' is what attracts him to the continent. And as the friendships, made throughout Europe, began to increase, so did the musical talents and the communication skills (learning german, as a second language). The decision is clear to see why Kellenny considers Europe his 'second' home,... if not 'first'. And to this date, Kellenny stays busy with many projects, which span over different areas of music, such as blues, rock, hip-hop, and almost anything that has to do with using the voice.KELLENNY - CD, 'Devilz 4 Real the sketchez'The first release under the AMAZEMENT ENTERTAINMENT-KELLENNYSONGZ label. Twelve songs, written & arranged by Kellenny; produced by local 'Rhein-Neckar' hip-hop legend, Cheap Beatz Amazin'. The recording dates of the tracks, span as far back from January 2001, up until most recent as December 2006. This particular collection (originally, not intended to be) became rather apparent, as the simplicity of the recordings became the commom denominator, showing Kellenny's rather 'simple and direct' approach to songs.The objective for this project? 'I just simply wanna' bring back the heart, as well as some of that classic song-writing formula,... which seems to be payed less attention to, these days...' - Kellenny.So, what's to be heard on this cd? What type of music is it? 'A lot of acoustic 12-stringin', with some way cool vocals! Just playin', like what Bob Dylan & Jack Johnson did... but, from the way I see my own songs, ya know?! Virginia Beach meets Modern Europe, haha! Some would call my style a mix between classic rock, blues, & even a hint of country. While even some of my closest friends (who listen to hip-hop) would often tell me that they listen to it while makin' love to their girlfriends, ha!... I mean, I'm not tryin' to give myself a pat on the back or anythin', but I definitely consider that a greater compliment, than most! Why?! Because that shows that my music is promoting love, which is what we probably need more of these days. I think my deceased father would be more than proud of that!
