After some intra-band unrest split them up, most of the members of Los Kumbia Kings remade themselves as Los Super Reyes, and this 2007 debut proves that, no matter what they call themselves, the guys rock, purveying upbeat, slightly jokey, but still tough hip-hop filtered through cumbia and other Tejano sounds. The album charted high upon its release, boosted by the single "Muevelo," which was a major summer jam in 2007.

 KUMBIA KINGS TO SUPER REYES GREAT DEBUT! THEYRE BACK!
There's many words to describe this group of talented guys, let me just start by saying that their comeback as LOS SUPER REYES made a great impact.
I met them the day their cd came out VIP. Their songs...i just can't explain it...they're just so catchy...and if that doesn't motivate you to take some time to listen to this cd, then you have to take a look at how they present themselves.Their dance, their looks,their love towards their fans is like no other, its awesome. I know i'm writing this not only being a fan...but let me just say...If i wouldn't have known about them before when they were KUMBIA KINGS..I still would've found out about them, and ended up liking them. Their concerts are AMAZING also, let me tell you that. I've been to one, and trust me its worth it buying front row tickets! or showing up early to be in the front!
They will put you to scream for them, and trust me you'll never be the same person again!...I just want to reccomend everyone out there to but this CD...you dont know what you're missing out on. GO BUY YOUR CD NOW IN STORES!CRUZ CONGRATS! YOU SHOWED AB YOU COULD DO IT TOO...BEST LUCK FOR THE GROUP!..KEEP UP THE GOOD BEATS.

EL REGRESO DE LOS REYES WAS NEVER EXPECTED. BUT IT A GOOD THING THAT THEY CAME BACK WITH A NEW SINGER JOJOE AND THEY ARE BETTER THAN EVER. THEY DIDNT CHANGE ANYTHING THAT THEY HAD WHICH MAKES THEM JUST AS GOOD. THEY ARE AWSOME DACERS AND SINGERS. THEY WILL GO FAR.PURO SUPER REYES

Raven's two-fer release of Helen Reddy's I Am Woman and Long Hard Climb is typically well-produced -- well-annotated by Ian MacFarlane, remastered expertly, nicely designed, adorned by two bonus tracks, and -- above all -- focusing on two records that capture the artist at the peak of her career. All well and good, so the question is this: Is this solely for the diehards or will those who like "I Am Woman" and know nothing else also enjoy this two-fer? The answer is yes, they should enjoy I Am Woman/Long Hard Climb, but it's a qualified "yes" because a little Helen Reddy can go a long way for some listeners -- especially those who enjoy "I Am Woman" for either its camp value or its message. However, those who like the record for its sound -- its layered, post-Glen Campbell, early-'70s soft rock, AM pop, MOR sound -- this is quite enjoyable, particularly because the quality of the songs is quite consistent (apart from the odd stumble like a woeful cover of Ray Charles' "Hit the Road, Jack" or the vaudevillian "The Last Blues Song"). Ironically enough for a singer so associated with a tale of empowerment, Reddy isn't a particularly assertive vocalist; she tends to blend into the production of the records on both albums, which is not a bad thing, since it enhances the enjoyment of each as sheer sound and as period pieces, since they certainly stopped arranging and producing records like this a few years after these were released. And that's also the reason why this disc may, in many ways, be preferable to a hits ...
