Extreme metal quintet the Red Chord hail from Massachusetts, where they have established a reputation as one of the fiercest acts in the region. PREY FOR EYES, the band's third studio release, ups the ante on their pummeling blend of grindcore, black metal, and hardcore. The Red Chord stands out from their contemporaries for both their intelligent stance and their progressive musical tendencies (the album is full of breakneck start-stop structures and unexpected changes in direction). Everything from the shattering power of the rhythm section to Guy Kozowyk's associative lyrics and molten vocals makes PREY FOR EYES a must for fans of the genre.
The Red Chord: Guy Kozowyk (vocals); Jonny Fay, Mike "Gunface" McKenzie (guitar); Greg Weeks (bass guitar); Brad Fickeisen (drums).
Additional personnel: Jonny Davy, Youre Dead Choral Group, Nate Newton (vocals); Mirai Kawashima (keyboards); Michael Keller (percussion).

| Prey For Eyes Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) This should do nicely The Red Chord is a tech metal band from Revere, Massachusetts whose sound incorporates elements of death metal, grindcore and metalcore. Even though that the band has been labeled as deathcore, Mike has mentioned this, "some people call us a grind band. Some people call us a hardcore band. Some people call us a death metal band. We’re not any of them, really. We’re just sort of a noisy band." Their name signifies a slit throat and was taken from Alban Berg's opera Wozzeck. This signifies that they're creme de la creme. Eat this one up if you can. Barrel of a concept to connect with their breakout, Clients, really. Yowza! Submitted by Hmmm (Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA) Was This Review Helpful? excellent! i remember when i first heard The Red Chord at Ozzfest they sounded pretty crazy so i bought Fused Together which my friends told me was their good CD and it sounded pretty cool so i bought Clients and it blew me away...so Red Chord has always been one of my favorite bands, and now Prey For Eyes is out and i couldn't be happier! it actually has more cooler guitar riffs than their 2 last releases and vocals/lyrics are still great thanks to Guy and Mike on backup vox, drums are crazy!! so this is their best CD yet! i think for Clients they boosted the vocals louder than this album though! | | Cindy Boehler Set It Free CD (2006)
Prey For Eyes CD music
$9.29 After stepping away from the music business 16 years ago to dedicate herself to raising her children, Cindy sent an e-mail to Grammy nominated producer Steve Ivey of IMI Music in Nashville telling him how much she appreciated the Bluegrass/Gospel CD she had recently purchased. This e-mail was to be a life changing one, as eventually Ivey invited Boehler down to Nashville to audition in his Music Row studio. Ivey signed Cindy on her first day in Nashville and both set forth on an intense process of putting together the beginning works of Boehler's debut CD, Set It Free.It was apparent from the start that Cindy was blessed with strong song writing skills and Ivey pushed her to commit to six original recordings on the CD.Through an offhand comment about how wonderful The Jordanaires were on a Patsy Cline song they were reviewing for possible recording, Ivey asked if Cindy would like to have them record the song with her, and the rest is in the history books. The Jordanaires and Cindy, with her strong Patsy inspired vocals fit together like bread and butter. The Jordanaires are present on 6 of the 12 traks and with two of the original members still performing, the sound is shockingly similar to the cuts they originally recorded with Cline. The Jordanaires recently travelled all the way from Nashville to Nebraska to help Boehler release her CD to over 700 fans!Cindy has credited many for inspiring her to be a musician, but none more than a mother who made sure there was always music in the house when she was growing up. "I was fortunate to have a mother who knew what it meant to teach me to love Jesus and be grateful for the talents that I was blessed with. This is why I chose to do a Gospel/Bluegrass CD the first time out. It's my way of saying thank you to my mother and my God," says Boehler. One of Boehler's earliest influences was the music of Karen Carpenter. Boehler adds, "I have been told that I am the Karen Carpenter ...

| | Daryl Hall 3 Hearts In The Happy Ending Machine CD (1986)
Prey For Eyes songs
$6.25 Arriving just at the end of Hall & Oates' phenomenal streak of success in the early '80s, 3 Hearts in the Happy Ending Machine, Daryl Hall's second solo album, was viewed as the first overture in a solo career but, in retrospect, its kinship with his first solo effort, 1980's Sacred Songs, is apparent. There is some indication that Hall had to make, or wanted to make, some concessions to bring it onto the charts -- how could he not, he was one of the most popular musicians of his era -- but that's not particularly evident on the tremendous lead single, "Dreamtime," a swirling slice of arty new wave psychedelia that stands in direct contrast to anything Hall & Oates sent into the Top Ten -- it might have belonged on Sacred Songs or X-Static, but it could only have been cut in the mid-'80s when Hall had the freedom to make a record like this. And this is a result of an artist who is given the freedom to make close to the record that he wants, with a few commercial concessions, plus a desire ...
