What I said...I was born in Cincinnati, OH 1963, although I don't remember that...Moved to Naples, FL in 1973, by parents who were looking for sinus relief.Played in a few bands in and out of high school, most fondly remember after high school, Youth In Asia (say it fast, get it?), a band with a punky new/wavy kind of sound...that's when I got my first taste of how good it felt to front a band, even if it was in two-toned hair and leather pants! And I'll bet you didn't know that "band fronting" actually had a taste.Worked at record/music stores out of high school, then for a pool service company (I was the first female supervisor they ever had, I am woman, hear me snore)! I think that was when I first started wearing a sports bra, too...Met Stephanie Callahan in 1989 at a softball tournament (uh, oh, you know what that must mean...) and formed Halcyon. (out of Play-Doh at first, but it didn't stand up well to the FL heat).Moved to Tampa in 1990 to have access to a more metropolitan area for the music. (Yeah, it was just for the music).Worked steady and partied hard for a large, devoted following that continues to this day. The following, and the partying.Being in Halcyon has enabled me to travel the entire country many times over, including Alaska, and even did some extremely well received gigs in England. (It was nice to meet a real queen!) I've done festivals, cruises, TV, radio, office parties and even horse tracks! After 18 years, I seen and done an awful lot. Someday, I hope to tell Oprah all about it.Hobbies and things I like: cooking/good food/cool restaurants/wine/craft beer/do I smell a pattern here?/water/boating/floating/beaching/weather/hanging in the back yard with something on the grill/yep, def. a pattern/art/ other people's music/What somebody else said...with interjections from me (in parenthesis) (isn't that cool? In parenthesis is in parenthesis!)...Deb Hunseder is a longtime Tampa Bay area favorite. (Favorite what)? She is highly popular as of the duo Halcyon with singing partner Stephanie Callahan, a collaboration which evolved from a chance meeting in 1989. (Chance meeting, is that what they call it these days)? They have played a wide array of shows– music festivals, benefits, bars, clubs, and even travel in Europe and Alaska, and developed a unique and fiercely loyal cadre (ooh, good word!) of fans who have now spilled over into second and third generations of listeners. (Oh my God, are you kidding me?!)"In our 25 years of business here, they are by far our most consistent draw," says Tom White, owner of Skipper’s Smokehouse in Tampa. "You can be sure that any night Halcyon plays here we’ve got a good 400 to 500 people." (400-500 good n plenty drunk people)Deb is now branching out as a solo artist, (I'm a tree, I'm a tree!) bringing along her trademark energy, showmanship, and irrepressible sense of humor. No one feels cheated at a Deb Hunseder show. (Unlesss I steal their wallet) Her exuberance on stage (and sometimes off stage) involves the audience in a very direct and personal way. (I'm also a professional breath checker) Her voice is strong, clear, and true, whether on a pull-out-all-the-stops rocker or on an intimate slow-burn ballad. (If I could only convey to you how painful it is when all of the stops get pulled out...) (...and a fast-burn ballad usually hurts much less). While Deb, as part of Halcyon, has earned numerous awards and critical acclaim, she is real, honest, and down to earth. (If I wasn't, I'd be a fake, dishonest alien) Professionalism and a dedication always to give her best shines through on Deb’s first solo CD release, titled "Surface". Every song is solid and well-crafted, confirming her well-earned credentials as a songwriter. Coupled with her incredible vocal abilities, this CD is the perfect culmination of her musical journey so far. (OK, ya got me there, I give).

Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
Iron Maiden Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son CD  (1988)

ON SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH SON, the songs tell the tale of a young prophet who predicts the destruction of his village, and is ignored when he tries to warn the others. Eventually, the man goes mad and commits suicide. Employing synthesizers, Iron Maiden takes a two-fold risk: with the music and by doing a concept album. This formula might have spelled disaster for most bands, but not Iron Maiden. SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH SON turned out to be one of the band's strongest releases, debuting in the U.K. charts at Number One, and spawning four Top-10 singles ("Can I Play With Madness," "The Evil That Men Do," "The Prophecy," and "Infinite Dreams"). The band's popularity had reached an all-time high around this time, as Maiden headlined the 1988 Monsters of Rock concert at England's Castle Donnington. During the single-day event, Iron Maiden played to a record 100,000 fans, headlining over such big names as Kiss, David Lee Roth, Guns N' Roses, and Megadeth. In 1988, harsh thrash metal and radio-friendly glam rock were the two chief heavy metal styles. Instead of aligning themselves to either camp, Iron Maiden stuck to their guns and issued ...

Lokata (LOW-kah-TUH) means to stop thinking about fate/destiny and live in the "now". You wont find it in a dictionary, because its not a real word. It's therefore also not a real meaning, but how we interpret it. (we made it up.)Lokata's music is comparable to that of bands like story of the year, killswitch engage, and the used. Drawing influences from the deftones, refused, metallica, nirvana and green day; its a mesh of ideas and attitude set to a punk rock backdrop.Lokata ...

fetish (fet-ish) n1. Something, such as a material object or a nonsexual body part, that arouses sexual desire and may become necessary for sexual gratification.2. An object that is believed to have magical or spiritual powers, especially such an object associated with animistic or shamanistic religious practices.3. The baddest mother fucking rock and roll band to ever walk the planet. The time is now… The music world is as stagnant and soulless as it has ever been. The very best just quite simply aren’t good enough. Bands who can’t play dominate a scene for a crowd that expects nothing, and most often, gets exactly that. Songwriting has slumped to perhaps an all time low. No one cares about writing a song. They are merely concerned with getting “the sound”. We’ve been let down by our heroes. We’ve been left behind by a fickle audience of sycophantic posers. No one was left to carry the torch, so we took it up. Rock and roll, REAL rock and roll, as it was meant to be played. Raw, powerful and unapologetic. Fetish exists to drive a stake through the hearts of the weak and spineless. Fetish exists to provide a unified front to the millions of music fans who remember rock and roll. Fetish exists because it has to. The past is prologue. Many years and many incarnations have conspired to bring together the true force of what makes Fetish the band that it is today. From the garage to the Grammy ballot in 2006, the band is moving beyond even its own definitions and raising the standards to which it holds itself. Right here and right now Fetish is better than ever. Behind the drums lies a powerhouse of funk and metal named Tom Todd. Asses shake and bodies quake to the massive beats that issue from his sticks. The hardest of the hard hitters, Tom is the rock solid foundation that Fetish is built upon. Pure, unrelenting power and rhythm from the heart and from the groin. Chris Zook is the rumble of precision thunder that holds the bottom end. His bass playing has brought a dimension to the ...
