| | Superbad Soundtrack CD (1 Customer Review)
For the soundtrack to the 2007 comedy SUPERBAD, composer Lyle Workman created a score of 1970s-inspired funk pieces, and managed the feat of pulling together many former J.B.'s for the album's sessions. Highlights of the collection include "SuperWhat?" which features vocals and bass by the inimitable Bootsy Collins, and the Hammond-and-horn-led "Seth Pulls Into the Lot." While the album will readily appeal to admirers of the proudly goofy film, it will also delight fans of old-school funk.

Superbad Soundtrack album
$6.49 Tom Waits discarded his bohemian sage persona with the radical Swordfishtrombones, and this follow-up release synthesized and developed themes from that groundbreaking album. Ever-shifting percussive textures are supported, where applicable, by horns or Farfisa organ and several guest musicians, including Rolling Stone Keith Richards, contribute to its melange. Waits' bourbon-laced voice is as riveting ...

Superbad Soundtrack music CDs
$9.59 Their second album brought fame to Cake, with a hit single ("The Distance") that wasn't written by the group's main songwriter John McCrea, therefore misrepresenting the band's sound. PROLONGING THE MAGIC gives listeners another chance to tune in to this California unit's distinctive sound, an arch, alt-rock concoction that fall somewhere between Pavement and They Might Be Giants. There's a hip-hop inflection to the rhythm section now and again, and ...

Superbad Soundtrack songs
$10.49 Principally recorded at Marshall Sound Design, Dallas, Texas.
The demise of Pantera reverberated deeply in the hearts and minds of heavy music fans. From the ashes of a very public split with vocalist Phil Anselmo, brothers Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul took solace in a simple mantra--new found power. The duo set out to build a new band in that very spirit as a vehicle for Darrell's trademark blistering riffs and Paul's precision skin-bashing. Initially flying under the flag New Found Power, the band added bassist and fellow Texan Bob Zilla and became known as Damageplan.
Former Halford guitarist Pat Lachman makes his vocal debut on NEW FOUND POWER. The result is a study in extremes that spans the horizon from borderline death-metal vocals ("Reborn") to clean melodic singing ("Save Me"). Pantera fans may hear echoes of their beloved band's heyday in the thrashy abandon of "F*** ...

Superbad Soundtrack CD music
$13.25 A popular musical comedy of the mid-1950s, GRAB ME A GONDOLA starred Joan Heal as a publicity-seeking starlet in Venice. Sadly, both the musical and its leading lady have fallen into obscurity, but this original-cast recording, re-released on CD in 2007, may help restore it to its proper place in the Broadway canon.
This play's plot was inspired by publicity hunting actress Diana Dors appearing in a mink bikini at the Venice Film Festival and being thrown into a canal. The cameras that just happened to be there caught ...
