Closed Captioned; Additional Footage; Soundtrack English; English Subtitles; Director's Comments; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re Blue Collar Comedy Tour veterans Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall team up in DELTA FARCE, a military-spoof comedy featuring their southern red-neck stand-up schtick. Bill and Larry, along with their scrawny friend Everett (played by DJ Qualls), are weekend warriors in the Army reserves. Not only have they not trained, but they see the weekend as a getaway from the pressures of their daily lives. But with the military's forces depleted by the no-end-in-sight Iraq War, they turn to their reservists. Bill, Larry, and Everett are thrown into whirlwind boot-camp sessions, led by the commanding powerhouse Sgt. Kilgore (Keith David), to prepare for their upcoming deployment to Iraq. On their overnight flight to the Middle East, a thunderstorm threatens the cargo carrier, and equipment fitted with parachutes is dumped to lighten the load. Unfortunately, this includes the three bumbling friends, who sought refuge in an all-terrain vehicle to catch up on some sleep. They wake up in the desert, confused and disoriented, and assume they've reached the mission destination. But it turns out they aren't anywhere near Iraq--they've landed in Mexico, where they stumble upon a small village that has been overrun and terrorized by gun-wielding gangsters.
DELTA FARCE is one of the few war films to be released as the Iraq War is in full swing, and it takes a daringly comedic approach. The starring cast members never abandon the style they've become famous for, providing an abundance of silliness and the usual slapstick antics throughout. Delta Farce Movie Review Not as good as Larry's previous performances, but it's good. Delta Farce is that kind of movie that's SO bad, it's good. Larry's other performances were better, but's worth a look for Larry fans or Bill Engvall fans. Those who are not and have heard all the sour reviews about this movie...beware. Delta Farce film
$10.29 WALKING TALL, a remake based on the popular series of 1970s films by the same title, is all about The Rock. He is larger than life, buff, beautiful, and mad as hell--ready to fight a wave of corruption, gambling, and drugs that have infiltrated his hometown. He plays Chris Vaughn, a man who is returning to his family in Tennessee after serving in the military. But right off the bat, he can tell something is fishy. The lumber mill has closed down and now there are kids on the streets doing drugs. Chris confronts his high-school rival Jay (Neal McDonough), who replaced the honest lumber business with a highly illegal casino, and is almost killed for doing so. Chris reports Jay's dirty business to the cops, only to learn that even the sheriff is on Jay's payroll. The final straw comes when Chris' nephew overdoses on crystal meth bought at the casino, and Chris decides take Jay down vigilante-style, breaking all the rules and fighting for what is right. Massive brawls with The Rock at their center, toting a large 2 x 4 as his only weapon, provide for some highly destructive, very violent face-offs. Ray (Johnny Knoxville) stands by Chris' side, providing comic relief throughout the relentless fighting, and the blond and bronzed Kristen Wilson provides some risque allure as Chris' love interest. WALKING TALL offers a little something for any fan of The Rock.
After eight years, decorated Army veteran Chris Vaughn (The Rock) returns to his hometown and finds it ravaged by poverty, drugs and corruption. Its once-thriving lumber mill is closed and a glitzy crime-ridden casino is now the chief source of income. Pushed to the brink, Chris pushes back and soon becomes a target for murder.
| | Thin Lizzy - Greatest Hits DVD (2006)
Delta Farce review
$10.55 The career of Thin Lizzy produced a few bona fide classics, including "Whiskey in the Jar" and "The Boys Are Back In Town." This compilation of music videos may have dated somewhat--most of them are culled from a time when the format was just starting to establish itself--but the chance to see Phil Lynott and the boys in action will be hard to resist for hardcore Lizzy disciples.
This DVD is a document of a real rock 'n roll band almost from star to end, captured while video was still a very formative technology and medium. This collection of honest down-to-earth performances pieces shows a band itching to turn it up, drag a crowd in and thell the director to "do one". The classics performed live are taken from the "Live & Dangerous" set (recorded around the world on the "Johnny the Fox" and "Bad Reputation" Tours, probably at the now defunct Rainbow Theatre in downtown London.

| | Iron Maiden - Death On The Road DVDs (2003)

| | U2 - Popmart: Live From Mexico City DVD (1998) DTS Sound
Delta Farce video
$10.55 Since becoming wildly popular in the 1980s, Irish band U2's sound has grown from a raw, soulful rock to a more electronica-tinged, experimental brand of pop. In line with this, U2's stage act has grown into a showcase of lavish special effects, cutting-edge sound, and spectacular multimedia enhancement. POPMART features Bono and the band performing live in Mexico City in support of their 1997 album, POP. Performing 24 old and new tracks, U2 puts on a concert that is a stunning spectacle.
Described as a sci-fi disco supermarket, the PopMart tour was all trash & kitsch, including a giant mirrorball lemon, a 100 foot cocktail stick - complete with olive, and the works of Lichtenstein, Warhol, and Haring, to a live rock audience. Filmed at the Foro Sol Autodrome in Mexico City on December 3, 1997, this DVD was directed by David Mallet. Audio and video was digitally remastered with a brand new 5.1 surround mix in DTS and Dolby Digital.
