Seals & Crofts Sudan Village Songs Sudan Village Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) greatness I've had this in an album for years, and finally bought the CD, I usually don't like live albums, but this is outstanding, most of the songs are very up beat, and its fun to listen to. I think this would appeal to a wide range of tastes. Submitted by belvedere (las vegas) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
This group's great live! Some problems that some groups have is that they are pathetic live. They may play well, but they may not be tight on stage. Not so with Seals & Crofts. This live album feels like they took the studio and put it on stage, with great results. Also, they played songs that weren't on their records. "Thunderfoot" is a great, jazzy piece, and "Baby, I'll Give It To You" and "Put Your Love In My Hands" are good pop songs that wouldn't be out of place on the Get Closer album. Another thing that is amazing is that, instead of closing with one of their hit songs, they closed with a fiddle/mandolin medley of "Arkansas Traveller" and "Eighth of January", something one wouldn't expect with stars like Seals & Crofts, who had a large number of hits or album tracks that could have done the job. All in all, it's a great experience to listen to, and is definitely worth a spin on the old turntable. Submitted by Galen (Anchorage, Alaska) Was This Review Helpful? The Duo at Their Live Peak Their concerts were like their records; inspiring, eclectic, and energetic. The title track and "Cause You Love" take on a new dimension from the studio recordings. The rest runs the gamut from a rock instrumental to a hillbilly hoe down, none of it any less than entertaining. Given that these are location recordings, the sound comes across quite well on CD. If you ever enjoyed S&C live, or wanted to know what is was like, this disc is for you. Submitted by Bill (Jacksonville, FL) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Sudan Village album
$16.45 Born and raised on the streets of New York City during its infamous '80's crack epidemic, Double A.B. soaked in the culture of the city around him. That same culture and experience would later manifest itself in the form of rap lyrics. Writing rhymes since age eleven, it wasn't until A.B. started ripping up competitors in the mid '90's battle rap scene, that his reputation started to solidify throughout his native city. Victorious appearances in Blaze magazine's Blaze Battle in '98 and again in '99 garnered Double A.B. with a taste of the national attention he had been craving. Battles on MTV's Direct Effect in '01 and MTV's first large scale MC Battle in '03, in which A.B. battled his way down to the ...
